More Details Have Been Revealed About Guardians And Avengers Team Up In Infinitiy War

Although Avengers: Infinity War is still a few years away, there has been various speculations about what the movie will bring. With confirmation that Thanos will be the supervillain trying to destroy the universe (based on the comics The Infinity Gauntlet), the Avengers won’t be the only one fighting Thanos.
Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors of Infinity War had talked of already having a line up of 66 superheroes for the movie, though they never named names. Speculations of said heroes have run the gamut from Spider-Man to Doctor Strange and the Guardians of The Galaxy.

We had previously reported on the Guardians Of The Galaxy crew being rumored to be part of Infinity Wars, which has been more or less confirmed by Guardians star Vin Diesel. Now, website Schmoes Knows reports that Peter Quill a.k.a Star Lord is a definite castmember for Infinity Gauntlet. According to the Schmoes, Star Lord will have a “sizeable role” and that he would be the first Guadian to make a definite appearance in Infinity War.

The first Guardians Of The Galaxy movie had presented Thanos as part of its storyline, Infinity Stone on hand. But its seems like the sequel will not delve into that same story line. The director, James Gunn had previously stated that the sequel will concentrate on family, including Star Lord’s father, Ego- a centuries-old alien being- who would no undoubtedly have some information on Thanos.

 Avengers Infinity War

Star Lord making an appearance in Infinity War would make more sense after Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol 2 comes out, and also given the fact that the Guardians are the Avengers of the Universe as opposed to just Earth like the Avengers. Fans have already shown excitement for this new team up, especially for a one on one talk between the very talkative Peter Quill, Rocket the Racoon and Iron Man. A prospect of epic comedic proportions.
