Angelina Jolie Files For Divorce from Brad Pitt

Oh No! It is over. One of the highest profile marriages in the world is no more. Angelina Jolie has filed divorce from Brad Pitt. The reason is irreconcilable differences between the couple.

According to a report, the couple separated on September 15 after being married for almost 2 years. As per the sources, Jolie wants the custody of their six children while granting Brad Pitt visitation.

She has also asked to keep “miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects”. Also, any earnings from the date of their separation and other differentiated assets are to be determined later as per the court of law.
Earlier in 2015, Jolie wrote and directed a film about an estranged marriage. She said the following in an interview,
“I’m counting on the audience to know that if it was close to us at all we could never make this film,” Jolie said. “It’s because we are actually very, very stable and these aren’t our issues.”
The timing of the divorce filing struck some as an unfortunate coincidence as she is a United Nations special envoy for refugee issues

Let us hope the proceeding go in a decent manner and media leaves the couple alone to deal with this misfortune.
