Marvel Phase 4: 7 Game-Changing Moves on Superhero Chessboard

Right after we are done with Marvel Phase 3 we get to enter Marvel Phase 4, which we believe would be completely different from what we’ve seen so far. New characters would be introduced, few old characters would be killed off and with Phase 3 ending with Avengers defeating Thanos, there wouldn’t be any bigger bad baddie to fight against. This is where MCU plans to do a complete game changer, however, here’s our take on Marvel Phase 4 and what we would like to see:

Hulk

hulk

It’s been a while since we last saw a solo Hulk movie after Phase 1 in 2008. Phase 3 would show Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok and in Infinity War I & II, but what happens to Hulk after that?

One could do a whole lot of stuff with Hulk story; they can show his extended family or bring back red Hulk or she Hulk. Something that would be extremely new to Hulk.

Namor

With Marvel now owning complete rights to Namor, a movie in Phase 4 would be appropriate. Though Namor has always been an underrated character, his character ushered the age of comics back in the golden age.

Being a Sub-Mariner, Namor is the ruler and a prince of undersea Atlantis. A hero and a villain to the surface world. This would be the right time for Namor to have a movie of his own with a wide range of story plot that could range from him being a villain to being a protagonist who is going up against something that is going wrong in Atlantis.

Black Widow

With so much potential one can do a lot with a solo Black Widow movie, with a huge fan base. The plot could very well define a prequel which would be best suited to her character which would also provide an opportunity for Marvel to introduce some new characters.

In-Humans

We know In-Humans was going to happen in Phase 3, but for some reason it has been pushed back, which does not mean that it would not happen.

With green signal already given to the movie, we can expect it to happen in Phase 4, there is a possibility we would get to see In-Humans in Infinity War, with the introduction of Black Bolt.

Black Bolt being a character who doesn’t talk, but when he does, he rips everything apart. With a team of anti-hero’s and villains, the team would comprise of Red Hulk, Ghost Rider, Winter Soldier and maybe Back Widow.

Doctor Strange 2

Marvel has given out the release date for 3 movies in 2020, so there is a strong possibility that we would get to see Doctor Strange sequel, but it mostly depends on how Doctor Strange on Phase 3 takes off.

Captain America 4

With Bucky taking on the mantle of Captain America. He is the only one who can justify the role of Captain America since he understands what’s it is like to be Captain America. Feeling guilty of becoming a winter soldier this would be the right thing to do.

Fantastic Four

It is the first family in Comic Books which should get a good movie and we’ve all been waiting for this to happen.

Marvel Phase 4 promises to bring in the new team of Avengers with Spiderman, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Captain Marvel. After the end of Thanos, there wouldn’t be any other big bad baddie in MCU unless they get Galactic or someone like green goblin.

According to Marvel’s Kevin Feige, Marvel Phase 4 and beyond would comprise of:

“I think you look at comics as a guide. I think there will be a finality to moments of Phase Three, as well as new beginnings that will mark a different, a very different, a distinctively different chapter in what will someday be a complete first saga made up of three phases.”
