9 Comic-Con Moments We Shall Remember Till Eternity

Comic-Con has been around for the last 45 years and during these years there are bound to be some unforgettable moments, where every year there are surprises and last minute shows that take place in Comic-Con, here we take a look at some of the most interesting and funny Comic-Con moments that happened:

2006 saw a major crossover of Marvel heroes with the Avengers. Here’s what Kevin Feige had to say about the prediction of Avengers:

Jon Favreau was on the panel talking about Iron Man, and Louis Leterrier was talking about The Incredible Hulk, and Edgar Wright was talking about Ant-Man. And somebody asked, “Could the characters cross over? Is this person ever going to meet this person?” I was asked, “Are we ever going to see the Avengers on screen?” And I said, “Who knows. This is a big new experiment for Marvel. But it’s no coincidence that we have the rights to Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Cap –” and the whole audience started cheering. That was one of the moments where I went, boy, if only, if only we could actually sort of pull this all together.

2007 saw the debut of Iron Man trailer

Right after shooting the movie, director Jon Favreau showed up at Comic-Con with a teaser trailer of Iron Man. In all honesty, this came as a huge surprise from Marvel as this was something they did for the very first time. This trailer turned out to be the best trailer of all times making it an unforgettable moment.

In 2008 came the surprise sequel trailer of Tron Legacy

This nerdy geek movie Tron had the audience shocked, with Disney offering “one more thing” surprise at the end of their panel, with Tron: Legacy teaser trailer showcased as a concept to tone the film to the studio.

With the coming of 2009, audience saw James Cameron’s Avatar

Surprising 6000 fans by screening this 25-minute footage from his movie Avatar, James Camron really made this an unforgettable moment in Comic Con for the fans.

2010 saw Scott Pilgrim Vs The World

During the panel of the movie, direct Edgar Wright announced a special screening of the movie with few selective audiences. Walking a massive crowd of attendee towards Balboa Theatre. Also handing out badges and premier tickets to the movie with the complete star cast beside him.

Not far behind was Avengers in 2010

Right after finishing a presentation on Thor and Captain America, Marvel surprised their fans yet again with the “One more thing” for the fans, apparently revealing the cast of Avengers. It was a big moment when the complete cast appeared on stage getting the highest applause from the audience.

2011: Introduced Andrew Garfield as the Spiderman

Most of the American audience had never heard of Andrew Garfield when the name was announced for casting the role of Spiderman. Making his first appearance in front of the audience in spidey costume, Andrew read a heartfelt speech with tears in his eyes, as he promised to do justice to the Spiderman’s role.

2013 showed us the true Loki appearing in his costume, marvel had no idea how popular Tom Hiddleston was in his Loki role with the audience. With no footage to show, Hiddleston marked the crowd before him ordering them to kneel and pledge allegiance from the audience, surprisingly most of the audience obeyed to Hiddleston’s orders.

Star Wars the Force Awakens (2015)

Just the idea of Star Wars returning was enough got the fans crazy, with J J Abrams offering a handful of images from the movie set. Few expected the platoon of storm troopers that filed in leading everyone in attendance out of the building, using blaster point for a surprise concert. Kevin Smith was the most surprised by the stunt since his panel was starting just a few minutes later.
