Doctor Strange Drops MASSIVE hint of Infinity Stone in New Footage

MCU’s Doctor Strange’s release is fast becoming a reality with just a month to go before the movie’s release. And Marvel has spared no expense for their upcoming feature. The studio released a new trailer that may have given hints to a very popular fan theory.

The trailer shows Doctor Strange facing off Kaecilius. The Doctor fights his foe using an unintelligible spell. The spell allows Strange to freeze his opponent in time. The trailer then continues on with Strange’s past as well as the mind-bending aspects of the film. Everything is set in reverse including Strange charging into battle in New York to Strange’s first meeting with The Ancient One. Even the dialogue is played backward. The trailer brought into focus time manipulation, which is all due to The Eye of Agamotto-Strange’s amulet.

The trailer shows how the amulet fractures through time, giving a few scenes that were reminiscent of Christopher Nolan’s Inception. Marvel Studio president Kevin Feige had previously teased the possibility of time travel in the film with the Marvel head saying that Strange can “screw around with time.”

Fans have long speculated that the amulet was actually the Time stone, one of the two Infinity Stones that has not yet been featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the screening of this new trailer, the theory has gotten a new life across the web. There have been fan speculations of the Eye not being the Time Stone itself, but maybe housing the Stone within like how Loki’s staff contained the Mind Stone in Avengers.

The powers of time travel also are similar to the Time Stone’s power as well. Whether the Eye of Agamotto is a Time Stone or not, fans get to enjoy what’s to come in Doctor Strange. Only the release of the film will confirm any theory fans have so far.
