Ben Affleck told The Guardian in a recent interview that he may actually bail out of the project as a director or writer. He seemed indecisive about the future’s project basically because the actor has become such a perfectionist. He told The Guardian:
“It’s not a set thing and there’s no script. If it doesn’t come together in a way I think is really great I’m not going to do it.”
Ben Affleck seems to want a bit of time to ponder on what would be good for his film, but Warner bros. has shown to be in a rush, proclaiming dates for the release of the film even before the script has come together. This is basically how most superhero movies have been made in the past, churning out movies due to public demand. But Affleck has a history of creating stories that are more character oriented than just action sequences. A far cry from what Affleck has based his writer/director credit on.
