Doctor Strange has to face some serious things in the upcoming sequel to his solo venture Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. But he won’t be alone here as he will get help from some other Avengers too. Though not much is known about other characters who might be appearing here Scarlet Witch will be making a significant appearance in the movie. We saw some major developments in her arc in her Disney+ series and that can actually come to major help for Strange in working out the multiversal chaos. But there might be some interesting things we might get to explore from her character in the movie too. The newly leaked Doctor Strange 2 merch might have indicates how Scarlet Witch is being corrupted by the Darkhold.
Multiverse of Madness
The Doctor Strange sequel might actually be the next big event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Spider-Man: No Way Home. We actually witnessed some of the chaos that was caused due to the multiverse in the final film of the Spider-Man trilogy. But this time it Strange will actually get to witness some interesting characters in the movie too. Other than Scarlet Witch, we will also get to see America Chavez, who will be making her debut in MCU with the project. Played by Xochitl Gomez this character will end up being one of the major helps that Strange will require to prevent the multiversal chaos from spreading.
There were many theories surrounding Wanda being one of the antagonists of the movie ever since it was announced she will be a part of the project. But the trailer clearly indicated that she will be the help that Strange will personally ask for to help him. This will be important considering the character actually has some major developments in the Disney+ series WandaVision. But some of the recent revelations about the movie might have indicated that there’s a lot more trouble awaiting Scarlet Witch.
Leaked Doctor Strange 2 Merch
There’s a lot that has been discovered regarding Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness based on the merchandise for the film. This merchandise actually allowed us to find out about the ponytailed variant of Doctor Strange. We also got our first looks at Gargantos on the basis of the newly released t-shirts for the movie. But much of the interest for the movie is because of the merch that might have given some indication at Wanda Maximoff’s arc in the movie.

Fans can clearly see that the merch shows some sort of darkness emerging from Wanda’s heart and bleeding into her costume. This same thing was also witnessed in the footage from the trailer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness where she was donning the costume. A Twitter user named @itsjustanotherx indicated that this might be the Darkhold corrupting her heart. This could actually be in continuation of the narrative in WandaVision where we saw Wanda studying the Darkhold.
A lot could be inferred about the character of Wanda and the turn she might take in the movie based on what we have seen so far. The teaser for the movie shows that there was some sort of darkness around her fingertips which was rather similar to the one we saw in Agatha Harkness’ case when she was draining Wanda of her chaos magic. Initial theories might have been rejected about her being the villain but these might actually come back now. In fact, new theories suggest that she might secretly be the villain in the movie.
We’ll surely find out if she’s the villain when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness gets released in theaters worldwide on May 6.
