It’s been a while that we’ve discussed The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. That’s because Marvel is doing a great job in keeping us busy with their brand new Disney+ series Loki. But the former actually settled us on a lot of fronts. For starters, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) became the new Captain America! On the other hand, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) finally got his closure regarding his Winter Soldier alias. That brings us to the point that he will now become the White Wolf. But the show did not introduce him as same. So, a recent image has given us a hint at what Bucky Could look like as White Wolf. Check it out.
What Bucky Could Look Like as White Wolf
Throughout his journey in the MCU, we have seen him as the vicious Winter Soldier who was a special project curated by HYDRA. He carried out many assassinations in the MCU, including Tony Stark’s parents. It was not until Black Panther that he got his redemption. If it wasn’t for the Wakandan technology, BBucky would have never redeemed himself. This is when he was first referred to as the White Wolf.
Speaking on the terms of White Wolf, a recent art imagining Bucky as the White Wolf was uploaded by Spdrmnky XXIII on Instagram. The piece is titled “Captain America and the White Wolf.” While Sam dons the same Captain America costume that we saw in the show, Bucky wears a different one. He can be seen wearing a combination of black and white, indicating a farewell from a darker persona.
White Wolf In The Comics
If the MCU and Marvel Comics were to insect, there aren’t many similarities between the original White Wolf and the MCU. In the comics, Bucky mainly remains his identity as the Winter Soldier and stays beside Captain America. But he also becomes Captain America when Steve is presumed dead at the end of the first Civil War. The original White Wolf is a boy who survived a plane crash that landed in Wakanda. So, the only similarity between these two is the Wakandan origin.
Whereas Bucky in the MCU is concerned, he is yet to be seen in the newly announced Captain America 4. Moreover, if the MCU was to follow some comic stories, we could see him join Nick Fury in the upcoming Secret Invasion series. He might also be seen dealing with Valentina and the U.S. Agent, with the Thunderbolts and Dark Avengers possibly in the works. So, I’m pretty excited to see him as the White Wolf in the MCU!
