Fast and Furious is a film franchise that has some hardcore fans eagerly waiting for every sequel to drop. From high-speed car chases to action-packed sequences, crazy money heists, and jaw-dropping missions. Now because of this, even if the story falls out every now and then, the fans wouldn’t mind because they get what they want to see.
Vin Diesel has been hyping up the upcoming release of Fast & Furious 9 with an image of him and The Rock. The car-centric franchise that started in 2001 is now gearing up to release the ninth film in the main The Fast Saga narrative. Diesel’s Dom reunites with his old crew for a new mission in F9.
We have finally got a trailer for F9 and it dwells more into the characters. Eight character posters were shared on the official Fast & Furious Twitter account featuring Dominic Toretto, Letty, Roman Pearce, Tej, Jakob Toretto, Mia Toretto, Ramsey, and the returning Han.
Check out the second trailer of F9:
The previous trailer caused a huge buzz. I’ve got a feeling that this one’s going to trend even more! Backed up by Cipher (Charlize Theron), the villain appears to be hell-bent on going after Dom, and while the reason why is still unclear, it may very well be personal. Given this, it seems Dom will need all the help he can get in F9. This led many to wonder if he’ll reconnect with old allies such as Luke Hobbs, played by Johnson. It’s no secret Johnson and Diesel have had their differences, resulting in a private feud. But they are back on speaking terms.
Just like any other project, F9 has also faced the delay due to the coronavirus pandemic. The latest delay saw Universal Pictures push F9 back a month from May 28 to June 25. The latest installment in the main Fast & Furious film franchise will introduce John Cena as Dom and Mia’s brother Jakob Toretto. Additionally, we will witness Han’s return to Fast & Furious following the #JusticeForHan social media campaign. The campaigns have really forced the production houses to reach over and fulfill the fan’s wishes.
F9 synopsis reads:
“Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob.”
Directed by Justin Lin, F9 stars Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Sung Kang, with Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, and Cardi B. The film arrives in theaters on June 25.
