Marvel Is Reportedly Developing a Live Action Illuminati Project

Marvel Developing a Live-Action Illuminati Project:

Among the numerous theories we’ve heard about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the most prominent one has talked about Doctor Strange assembling the Illuminati. It seems that a part of that rumor is coming true because the Illuminati are indeed going to be a part of the MCU in its distant future. A lot is in store for us. Once the Coronavirus lets things move forward smoothly, we’re going to be in the best time of our lives because there would be something new from Marvel almost every month. Story-wise, things will move forward faster than ever, and we will get all the major storylines like the Illuminati, Secret Invasion, and Secret Wars.

For now, let’s just talk about The Illuminati. In the comics, this is a team of heroes that represent different heroic factions. The initial members were Doctor Strange, Professor X, Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic, Black Bolt, and Namor. Then later, Hulk, Captain America, Black Panther & Beast were also added to the team. Captain America was kicked out of the team when he retaliated upon the decision of forcefully sending Hulk to a different planet. Anyway, the members of the team kept changing, so, the MCU could also be flexible with the 6 members that they’ll use to form the team.

The reason why we’re firmly saying that the Illuminati will happen in the MCU is that The Illuminerdi is reporting that Kevin Feige will be producing a live-action project based on the comic series in the distant future. It will obviously happen in the future because Marvel likes to set up every one of their big events. So, we believe that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be the first film to set this event up. And later, the other MCU movies & TV shows are going to introduce and connect the other pieces together.

Doctor Strange 2 is said to involve Namor, who will supposedly go on to become the antagonist in Black Panther 2. So, Namor will be appearing in two films back to back since Doctor Strange 2 comes out right before Black Panther 2 in the updated slate of Phase 4. Anyway, Black Panther & Namor are going to be enemies temporarily because they will surely be teaming up with Doctor Strange in the MCU’s Illuminati. The other 3 members are yet to be introduced, and they will all be leading their own teams of heroes.

Ms. Marvel will lead us to the Inhuman King Blackbolt. Mutants are coming into the MCU right from Phase 4, so one or the other project will introduce Charles Xavier. And, either Spider-Man 3 or Ant-Man, Stature, And The Wasp will be introducing Reed Richards and the other 3 Fantastic heroes. These three leaders will surely form the Illuminati in the MCU. Iron Man obviously cannot be a part of the team because he’s dead, and Marvel won’t undo his big sacrifice by bringing him back through the Multiverse (or can they?). The Illuminati is a project that we should expect in Phase 6. Let’s see how things go.

Here’s the updated Phase 4 movie schedule of MCU – Black Widow on November 6, 2020, The Eternals on February 12, 2021, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on May 7, 2021, Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 on November 5, 2021, Thor: Love and Thunder on February 11, 2022, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on March 25, 2022, Black Panther II on May 6, 2022, and Captain Marvel 2 on July 8, 2022. As far as the TV shows are concerned, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier & WandaVision are supposed to hit Disney+ later this year, Loki, What if…? & Hawkeye will arrive next year, and Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight & She-Hulk will possibly arrive in 2022.
