Avengers: Endgame Directors Confirm Crucial Easter Eggs That We Haven’t Found Yet

Avengers: Endgame is the biggest film of all time. That automatically makes it the biggest and the best Marvel/Superhero movie ever. What do all superhero films have in common? Easter Eggs and references! All Marvel movies in particular are connected to each other in some way or the other. Every film finds means to reference the events that took place in other films, or even in the comics. Avengers: Endgame had tons of Easter Eggs. Someone reported 400 of them at least, and now the directors have teased that there are many important ones that people haven’t found out yet.

During a Reddit AMA on Wednesday evening, the directors were asked if there are “any important Easter eggs in Endgame that haven’t been found yet” and the Russos replied “Yes.” Well, the film is out on Digital HD, and will soon be out on BluRay. Now that the directors have teased more Easter Eggs, people will obviously start looking more closely. But it feels just like Guardians of the Galaxy as people haven’t been able to find out the last Easter Egg of the film and it has been more than 5 years since the movie came out.

Well, when there are so many of them, you just tend to be confused whether a particular moment is an Easter Egg or just a normal movie scene. But it’s plausible that most of you guys have caught this Secret Wars Easter Egg in the movie. As you can see in the image above, Hulk is holding up a massive rock in order to prevent the heroes that are stuck below the rock. Something like this happened in Avengers: Endgame as when Thanos from 2014 showed up to the future, he attacked the Avengers facility and it was the Hulk who prevented Rocket and Rhodey building by holding it up long enough for them to escape.

It’s really great how the Russos managed to bring this reference to life. They want to do a secret wars story in the future, but if Marvel goes in some other direction, then at least we’d have the Secret Wars Easter Egg from the film. Another iconic reference that this movie brought to life was the controversial Captain America saying “Hail Hydra” moment. Cap does it so smoothly here. It was amazing!

Avengers: Endgame

Other than the Easter Eggs, there was heavy MCU foreshadowing throughout Endgame and Infinity War. Tony Stark talks about his vision from Age of Ultron right at the beginning of the movie. In the vision, a bunch of Leviathans were entering Earth & Cap’s shield was broken into pieces. That’s exactly what happened in Endgame as well. Thanos brought his army, and cracked Captain America’s shield like it was nothing.

Captain America Thor's Hammer Mjolnir

Cap teased that he could lift Mjolnir, and then he finally did. Iron Man said his iconic line at the end of his first film, and he said the same at the end of Endgame. Back in Ant-Man, Darren Cross asked Scott “you thought you could save the world with a heist?” That’s exactly what Scott did in Endgame. He saved the entire Universe with the heist. Along with the foreshadowing, Endgame actually takes us back to the previous movies. So, the way in which the writers and directors have pulled this off is just commendable!
