Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer 2 Release Date –
In a time where Captain Marvel is playing in the theatres, Shazam! is right around the corner and Avengers: Endgame is about to arrive, Sony is like – “Hey, we’ve also got a big movie coming for ya.” There’s still a bit of time left before we get to see Spider-Man: Far From Home, but this probably is the right time to launch a new trailer for the upcoming film.
We’ve discussed this in the past that it will be very difficult for Sony to market Spider-Man: Far From Home considering the fact that the current status of Peter Parker is that he is dead! But that doesn’t mean that the marketing of the film won’t happen.
There was a lot of buzz surrounding the first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer release as it was supposed to hit the net right after its reveal at Brazil Comic-Con. But that didn’t happen as many of the special effects upon the trailer weren’t finished. So, Sony decided to hold it for a month and released it in January. That first trailer was able to keep the spoilers under wraps (except for one big spoiler i.e. Peter is alive) and just focused upon the next outing of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Well, Sony could easily do the same for the second trailer of the movie, but we all thought that they would actually launch it after Avengers: Endgame is out. That would prevent them from spoiling Avengers: Endgame in any other way despite the obvious, and also from giving away the entire movie in the trailers. We’ve already seen one trailer that was more stuffed than both the Avengers: Endgame trailers combined, so giving out just 2 trailers for Spider-Man: Far From Home would keep things stored for us in the theatres. But it seems that is not the plan.
Just like Spider-Man: Homecoming, Sony seems to be looking at launching 3 trailers for Spider-Man: Far From Home. The first trailer for Homecoming came out in December 2016, the second was launched on March 28, 2017, and the third came out on May 24, 2017, which kicked off the final marketing campaign of the movie. So looking at this pattern, the second trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home is just around the corner and Tom Holland may have told us when exactly it would arrive. Here’s what he tweeted:
Usually, Tom Holland isn’t someone who talks a whole lot on Twitter. Well, he gives away plenty of spoilers anyway, but not on twitter obviously. So him saying “Monday Morning” does seem kinda big. With this a lot of people are obviously thinking that Monday, March 25th is the date that we get to see the new Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer.
This totally makes sense as Sony would want as many people to see this trailer as possible. With Captain Marvel already out there, and the likes of Shazam! and Avengers: Endgame coming in pretty soon, Sony could have this trailer attached to all of these movies so a lot more people get to see the trailer. And, it would obviously make sense to have a Spider-Man movie trailer play with a play that actually has Spider-Man in it. Sony would be foolish not to launch the trailer with the biggest movie of the year.
As a Marvel movie fan, I obviously want to see the second trailer as soon as possible, but considering the time frame of its release and the pattern of Homecoming trailers, there will obviously be a third trailer inbound. And that may be a problem for us as 3 trailers can surely give away the entire movie leaving so little for us to watch in the theatres.
Well, it is what it is. Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out on July 5th. Here’s the official Synopsis:
“Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!”
