Avengers vs The X-Men:
The Disney-Fox deal has been in the news for quite some time now. The latest one revealed that the deal has cleared its final and last major hurdle and will be signed in pretty soon. Disney and Fox will soon become one entity and along with it, will come a flurry of movies where Disney and Fox’s most prized possessions – that is, the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the X-Men Universe, will soon share the same universe.
And to top it off, we are hearing news that Marvel has rumoured to have already set off plans in motion to make the next big project under the combined banner of both the studios. As it turns out, Marvel is planning a movie where the X-Men fight the Avengers!! Presenting – Marvel Studios reportedly planning movie on Avengers vs The X-Men!!
Marvel can finally move ahead with the plan of bringing the mutant kind into the world’s most profitable franchise in the movie-making industry. There were already rumours floating around that the X-Men, or at least a few iconic members of it, will appear in a Post Credits sequence of the Avengers: Endgame movie.
Looks like there will be much more of it than what meets the eye. The entire reason for Disney eyeing Fox Studios was because they wanted Marvels’ most popular superhero community from the comic books, the X-Men to join the MCU and complete the seemingly incomplete franchise.
Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, has laid out plans for a movie that shows both teams together at the opposite ends. One recent leak from the very apex of the Marvel Studios claims that the production team for the MCU is considering such a movie, which is “currently on the cards”. But there will be a lot of projects that will act as a guiding beacon for the shared universe before it make a pit stop at am Avengers vs. the X-Men storyline.
The project will reportedly start with a few origin stories for the mutant vigilantes and give the Avengers some much needed rest after they were involved in two movies within just two years of time. The Avengers and the X-Men will then clash against each other in an epic cinematic milestone for the superhero genre in Hollywood.
Whether it happens or not, that is what fate will decide! For now, we are just happy that the very President of Marvel Studios has literally said it out loud that this project could actually be a possibility and is really being considered by Marvel Studios as a future venture they could work upon.
Avengers: Endgame is all set to rock the screens a few months later while X-Men: Dark Phoenix will hit the theatres on the 7th of June, 2019. Dark Phoenix and Endgame will have a gap of two months at the very least amongst them. The crossover just might happen but we suggest you to take every such news like this with a pinch of salt.
Avengers: Endgame is set for release on the 26th of April, 2019. The official film synopsis of the movie has been recently released and it states:
“After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War, the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store.”
The last Avengers movie to be released under the MCU banner was Avengers: Infinity War. The official film synopsis for the movie reads:
Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artefacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.
