10 MCU Post-Credits Scenes That Were Totally Pointless
MCU and their Post Credits scenes seem to be like a poetry in motion and we have to say that the credit of bringing the post-credits scene to a whole new level goes to Marvel Studios because they have been simply incredible with their post-credits scenes in the MCU in all these years.
Fans and viewers are also in love with them. Sometimes they show some really important things in their post-credits scenes and sometimes it’s just fun. But, sadly there’s one more tunnel and that is the tunnel of disappointment as some of their post-credits scenes have been there too.
Today, we are focusing on the disappointment we have seen through the masters of this skill and we simply shouldn’t waste our time doing the talking and should start discussing the scenes. So, here they are down below:
1. Thor And Jane Reunite (Thor: The Dark World):
So, in the movie ‘Thor: The Dark World’ we saw that it was Thor who gives up his status as the Prince of his beloved Asgard and goes back to Jane as he wants to spend his life with her. The fans were really happy and also Thor seems to be quite happy with his decision.
But, as we all know that things flipped in a second when we all realize the fact that the relationship got broken in future movies. Before the movie Thor: Ragnarok, it was this movie in which we saw some kind of connection between Valkyrie and Thor. But, really we all miss Jane because she seems to be the perfect match for Thor.
2. Little Groot’s Messy Room (Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2):
This movie ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2’ is the movie which had the most post-credits scenes in the entire history of the MCU and we all have to admit that they’ve been entertaining and also incredibly interesting until we saw this one. We saw in the scene that Groot is busy with some device in his hands while it was none other than Star-Lord who keeps on badgering him about the messy room and also act as his guardian.
The scene is really funny as we see a lot of things in it but we have to say they should have come up with something else when they knew that they’re talking about a post-credits scene. Although we had Adam Warlock later so we have to say that Groot’s one was unnecessary.
3. Howard The Duck (Guardians Of The Galaxy):
There will be a lot of fans of Howard the Duck out there and they’ll surely be disappointed by what they saw in the post-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy because we all know that Marvel Studios has neglected this character for a very long time as the one we saw in the ‘80s was a complete mess.
But, seeing him in a live-action movie like this one, we simply didn’t expect this and also the scene was really pale and not convincing as the makers of the movie thought it to be. This is really a bad idea to bring Howard in the scene.
4. Captain America On Patience (Spider-Man: Homecoming):
We all have to admit that the PSAs in the movie Spider-man: Homecoming were quite interesting and also funny. We all liked them a lot as featuring Captain America in a movie is never a bad idea even if in the kind of a PSA. But, all the viewers were expecting a post-credits scene of something of a link-up between MCU and Spider-Man.
What we all got was nothing more than the PSA of Captain America in which he was talking about detention, fitness, patience, and many other things. Well, we have to say that Marvel trolled us perfectly this time.
5. Tony Stark Meets Thaddeus Ross (The Incredible Hulk):
It was really funny and satisfying to have Tony Stark in front of Thaddeus Ross as I don’t think there is any better way to annoy Ross, all one has to do is send Tony in front of him but we have to say that the scene is quite comparable to the scene of Thor and Jane.
Because in this scene also, we simply couldn’t get a lot of answers and instead of that got indulged into more questions because there’s no continuity in the direction of the story as why on earth Tony took the side of Ross with Accords when he knew what kind of a man Ross is and also what runs in his mind!
6. Groot Dances (Guardians Of The Galaxy):
Well, I have to say I was disappointed to see Groot dancing in the post-credits scenes of an MCU movie because I simply expect a lot of more cool and important things in it as there are a lot of things they would’ve shown in the post-credits scene of the movie than this.
Despite, the cuteness of Groot in the scene and also the kind of look Drax was giving him constantly was really funny. This would’ve been a normal scene in the movie and it’s really freaking me out when I think about the thought that a slot has been wasted.
7. Grandmaster Survives? (Thor: Ragnarok):
I don’t think how many of you out there will burn my house after hearing this or how many are going to ask my bank account number in order to send some money because of this brave declaration but I’m doing it and I personally don’t like the way they showed the character of Grand-master.
I thought of him as a really powerful man but I have to say that I was disappointed by seeing him not be able to deliver some really serious scenes in the movie as for me he was an irritating part of the movie because of his needless comedy.
8. Shawarma Scene (The Avengers):
I’m literally a fan of this scene but at that time when I didn’t know a lot of things about the future of the MCU, at that time I was really curious and excited to see the post-credits scene of this movie but seeing this scene was a big disappointment as it was irritating for me realizing the fact that I have to wait for more in order to see or know something about the future movies or superheroes or their journeys.
9. Giant Ant Plays The Drums (Ant-Man And The Wasp):
I still don’t understand the need for this giant ant playing the drums in the post-credits scene of this movie because it’s really creepy and kind of uncomfortable. But, as we all know that in the credits scene of the movie Infinity War, we saw a lot of devastating things.
But in this one, we really don’t think the idea was right. We also had the entire Pym family wiped out in the dust because of the snap of Thanos and having this scene simply cuts the impact and also the pain of the scene.
10. Tony Uses Bruce For Therapy (Iron Man 3):
This scene is really a shocking one as we see that the man Tony was telling the story for the whole time in the movie was no one other than Bruce Banner. Who all went off to sleep when Tony was telling his long tale to Bruce and also clarified that he is not the kind of doctor Tony thinks he is? The scene was kind of traditional post-credits scenes but had nothing about the future or any kind of revelation.
What I learn from all these post-credits scenes that they should’ve been used as a normal scene because they don’t have anything special about them while on the other side, we all know that a post-credits scene is a thing for which fans keep on sitting on their seats with the hope that we are going to see something interesting and things unfolding the secrets of future.
Well, what has done has been dusted and all we can do is hope that Marvel Studios will not repeat these mistakes. So, which one you think is the biggest disappointment from all of these? Tell us in the comments section below.
