All Fast and the Furious Movies in Order of Their Box Office Collection

The Fast and the Furious franchise is one of the best action movie franchises currently existing in Hollywood. Along with the Mission: Impossible Franchise and James Bond, it is the only saga that still sticks to the traditional ways of action instead of the big CGI charades that the Superhero genre adopts. Over the period of 18 years and 8 films, the action franchise has created a vast pool of characters who have worked with each other in a high-stakes street-race cum heist stories. The great thing about this franchise is that it has a very high Box Office Collection.

The Fourth movie completely rejuvenated the franchise and it became a money minting machine for Universal Studios from there on. Since the franchise has been so successful, Universal greenlit it to go till Fast 10, but now we will also have a spin-off which may begin its own franchise set up in the same continuity. Till Now, 8 movies have been released with different combinations of the F-words (no not that one) with sequential numbers and they have made a lot of money worldwide. Here are all 8 of those ranked according to their lowest to highest Box Office Earnings:

 8. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

It was the third movie in the franchise, but sequentially it was the 6th movie as the 3 movies that followed this one actually turned out to be prequels. Since this one was different from the core franchise, it did not make much and ended up grossing the lowest numbers. But still, it was pretty profitable as it brought in $62 Million Domestically and ended with $157 Million Worldwide.

 7. The Fast and The Furious

It all started with a street racing action adventure that set up the greatest duo in Hollywood. This movie turned out to be quite profitable as it brought in a  $206 Million in total. Above that, it was really big in the US as it grossed $144 Million at the domestic Box Office itself. This meant that the franchise had to be continued.

 6. 2 Fast 2 Furious

Paul Walker continued the high-speed racing franchise by introducing new characters and the second movie in the franchise actually turned out to be a pretty entertaining feature. Well, it was a box office success as well because the movie ended up making $127 Million in the US, and $236 Million in total.

 5. Fast & Furious

This is the feature where the real fun began as it set up a good team for the next installment, and most importantly, it reunited Dom and Brian to become the best buds from there on. The stakes in this movie were higher than ever and the action sequences were great for starters. The fourth installment in the franchise ended up with $155 Million at the Domestic Box Office and $363 Million Worldwide.

 4. Fast Five

This is where Justin Lin stepped in, brought in the Rock and began the notion of the family which continued for the rest of the sequels. This movie brought in a significant $626 Million Worldwide and it grossed $208 Million Domestically.

 3. Fast and Furious 6

After Fast Five amazed the world with how amazingly well a movie could use cars in major action sequences, the 6th movie took it to a whole new level. Well, the result was even bigger than any of the movies in the franchise till now as this was the movie that ensured Universal that they could spend bigger budgets in this franchise. It grossed $238 Million in US and $789 Million Worldwide.

 2. The Fate of the Furious
