The Brand New Look at Venom Revealed and It is Much Better than Comics

Now that Ant-Man and the Wasp is also out, the next movie all of us Superhero/ Comic Book fans will be looking for is Sony’s upcoming Venom. The two trailers of the movie have proved that Sony and Tom Hardy are not joking around this time and they are looking to adapt Venom as much as they can from the comics.

Even though his origin would not be similar to the comics since Spider-Man is not involved in this Universe even though we may get a few Easter Eggs here and there proving is existence.  Venom will not have the similar powers to Spider-Man as he did in the comics. Sony is creating this whole Spider-Man Universe without actually using Spider-Man himself. They are using all the characters they own from the Spider-Man Universe and they are investing big in them trying to tell us some real good stories.

After Venom, Sony has Morbius under development with Jared Leto starring as Michael Morbius the Living Vampire. We also have Silver and Back, Silk, Mysterio and Kraven the Hunter to be the other movies which Sony will bring out in the coming years. All depends upon Venom. Venom is supposed to start this whole Venom-verse where all the other characters will come in later. We may actually get an entire team of Anti-heroes in the coming years.

The movie was reported to adapt the classic 90’s Marvel comics based on Lethal Protector storyline that sees Eddie Brock becoming a hero in San Francisco. Still, elements of the movie will obviously be altered so that the story fits better on the big screen.  Here’s everything you need to know before you watch the movie:

“Before the story begins, Venom makes an agreement with Spider-Man that they will leave each other alone, on the condition that Venom commits no crimes. Venom then moves from New York City to San Francisco and takes up with a group of Californian mole people. Shortly thereafter the father of one of Venom’s victims seeks him out with a group of super-powered mercenaries to take revenge. Spider-Man, seeing misleading coverage of Venom on television, heads to San Francisco to confront him and instead winds up fighting alongside Venom against five new offspring of the Venom Symbiote: Scream, Rage, Riot, Lasher, and Agony.”

So far we have really liked what we have seen in the marketing as Sony seems to have gotten the look of Venom spot on! Now, Entertainment Weekly has released two brand new images that give us a different look at Venom and Eddie Brock. Here, have a look:

The eyes, the teeth and the evil Venomous smile is on point and we can see the whole gooey structure that Venom has which makes us even more excited for this movie. ET has released this before San Diego Comic-Con to create awareness for the upcoming Venom Panel that is surely going to bring out another trailer for the movie.

Venom new look Tom Hardy

We may actually have a look at the villains of the movie as well. We do know that there are going to be multiple other symbiotes (5 as mentioned above). Along with them, Riz Ahmed’s Carlton Drake is going to have a negative role. He owns the Life Foundation in this story, and he is the one who finds all the Symbiotes and then experiments with them. ET also released a new look that shows Drake interrogating Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock:

Tom Hardy was really excited to play this amazing role. Here’s what he said:

“There’s a tragic clown element, which I find funny and is harmonious with some of the work that I like to do. There’s something funny about the circumstances of having a gift but it’s a tragic gift. It’s a superpower you don’t really want, but at the same time, you love it. It makes you feel special. He’s a reluctant hero and an anti-hero.”

Even Director Ruben Fleischer loved working on the project and is really proud of what he has done:

“Usually a human gets imbued with powers or an alien comes from outer space and has to figure out how to live on our Earth. But this is really about a relationship between two people who have to work together to create this hybrid symbiotic relationship.”
