Avengers: Infinity War managed to make the fans go whoa at the very end with a twist so shocking it could literally make millions of fans shit their pants. There is no true fan who wasn’t shocked at the way the movie ended. It was bizarre, weird and dark as hell. No one anticipated it and that’s what made it so freaking beautiful.
It silenced the critics who always used to say that Marvel is incapable of making a movie with darker tone and real stakes. Also, Thanos was the most evil and terrifying villain Avengers had ever come across. He is guided by his mission to bring balance to the universe even if it means wiping out half the humanity. He must collect all six Infinity stones i.e Power, Space, Mind, Time, Reality and, Soul and assemble them in the gauntlet. This will allow him to accomplish his goals at the snap of his fingers.
Before Infinity War, 18 Marvel movies had come out and we loved most of them. We got used to a certain template which was followed but MCU broke all norms as Thanos did something in the end which made our worst nightmares come true. Heroes died and while it may not be ethical to reveal all their names, we are here to tell you that one of those deaths isn’t going to stay permanent for long.
A Major Superhero who died in Infinity War will be making a surprise return in Avengers 4!!!
Spoiler Alert: Massive Spoilers for Infinity War. Enter at your own risk……
It is the character played by Zoe Saldana, aka Gamora. She is Thanos’ daughter who was once sent on a mission to locate the Soul stone, she did find out but hid this piece of information from Thanos all this while. The Mad Titan soon realized that Gamora knows about Soul stone.
Gamora was captured by Thanos when the Guardians came looking for the Reality Stone on Knowhere. Thanos managed to capture Gamora and bring her aboard his ship. There he tortures Nebula and forces Gamora to reveal the location of the Soul Stone. Vormir is where the Soul Stone is located and that is where Gamora and Thanos travelled to.
There they meet Red Skull, who acts as a Chiron of sorts for travelers who come looking for the soul stone. The Space Stone has cursed him to guide all souls to a treasure he himself cannot acquire. There Thanos makes the ultimate sacrifice. He is told that the Soul Stone requires someone to understand its power and the only way to do that is for its wielder to sacrifice one of his loved ones.
Gamora felt at ease when she heard this condition as she believed there has’nt been a single soul that her evil father has loved but she was wrong. Thanos, in tears, pushes Gamora off a cliff as the Soul Stone becomes his. Gamora dies an untimely death as the camera shows her lifeless body on the bottom of the cliff. 
While most of the deaths in Infinity War like Spider-man and Star-Lord happened when Thanos snapped his fingers, Gamora’s case was different. She died not from the Infinity Gauntlet turning her into ashes but by Thanos himself. This has led everyone to believe that while the rest of the deaths could be reversed back in Avengers 4, Gamora’s death will be permanent. There is no way the green assassin could return to the MCU. Or say it seems like that until now.
In an interview with E! Live with the Red Carpet, Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) and Zoe Saldana were asked how it was to say goodbye to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Infinity War. Saldana was quick to reply that the goodbyes didn’t mean much since they were all going to come back to film Avengers 4. You heard that right. Saldana may have spilled the beans on this one. Her exact words were:
“At least for me, it felt like a TBC, because I knew that we will have to all come back, at some point this fall, and finish up the second – the fourth installment of Avengers. So, it felt like ‘See you later,’ not like a formal goodbye.”
This remark from the woman who plays the fiercest woman of the Galaxy has caught the fans off guard. Everyone knew heroes like Spider-man, Black Panther, and Doctor Strange will be returning. Black Panther is a cash cow which made more than a billion dollars. Marvel is keen to produce a sequel. Doctor Strange 2 is also rumored to be soon undergoing production.
Spiderman: Homecoming 2 has already been announced to be a part of Marvel’s upcoming movie roster. Even a GOTG Vol. 3 is going to hit the screens soon. So Gamora also has a chance to come back from the dead like the rest of the heroes. Or does she?
Her replies make it look like she will be interacting with a lot of heroes on set. That only points out to the fact tha she will be there in Avengers 4. But the way she will be portrayed is everybody’s best guess. Nebula, who is all but confirmed to be a part of GOTG Vol. 3, has the power to replay her memories in the form of Holographs.
Maybe that’s how Gamora finds a way back into the MCU. Or maybe her death is even more permanent. Remember Thanos encountered Gamora inside the Soul World? Maybe Gamora will return as a ghost to haunt and torment the Mad Titan like a long-repressed memory to goad Thanos into realizing his mistakes. For now, we can only guess as the sequel to Infinity War is more than a year away.
