Solo: A Star Wars Story – New Plot Details Revealed And They Are INSANE!!!

Lucas Films has been really wary of revealing any important plot points for their next Star Wars Project that will soon hit the theaters a few months later. Solo: A Star Wars Story will be the story of how Han Solo came to be as awesome as he is in the Original Trilogy.

It will tell the tale of Han Solo before he even became the hero of the Rebellion. Han Solo wasn’t always the Anti-Hero with a golden heart but he became one after this movie – that is the gist of it basically. As riled up fans are for this movie to hit the Big Screens already, Solo is still a few weeks away from being released. To satiate the fans, Lucas Films has finally agreed to reveal some incredibly important and amazing plot points for the movie.

Lucas Films, as per tradition, began their tour to promote Solo: A Star Wars Story like they have always been doing with the rest of their films. Solo will be one of a kind. In order to make sure a maximum number of fans flock to the theaters to watch it, Lucas Films is leaving no stone unturned no matter how big or small it is.

While on one of these tours, the Studio finally relented and shared some plot points for the movie. The plot points came into being courtesy of product descriptions regarding upcoming sales of newly added toy line collections and books of the movie franchise. It is all part of the promotion, folks!!

The young actor Alden Ehrenreich is playing the lead character, he is extremely talented and has got the acting chops to pull off this iconic role. There were plenty of talented actors that were considered for the part including Miles Teller, Jack O Connell etc. Here is what casting director Chris Miller had to say about Alden:

“That guy pretty much went through an audition pentathlon; it was like an acting steeplechase. He went against a lot of very strong competitors and was very consistently the guy, from minute one. He was the first person who auditioned out of thousands, and just out of the box, made you believe that someday he’d grow into the character we know”.

The book that will tie in into the Solo movie is a children’s book titled ‘Train Heist’. It was revealed that the book is on sale on Amazon and it shows Chewbacca and Han Solo going on in their adventure in the double-faced high tech train called the ‘Conveyex’. The train was last seen on the trailer of Solo: A Star Wars Story where the villain is known colloquially as ‘Moloch’ faces off against Han’s sole mentor and guardian Tobias Beckett.

The description does point out an interesting fact. The new Han Solo biopic will be heavily influenced by the now non-canon Legends expanded Universe of the Star Wars genre. The snow planet that will see the train heist scene unfold is named within the description. The description reads somewhat like this:

Han Solo and Chewbacca the Wookiee must team-up for a daring train heist on the planet Vandor!

The name ‘Vandor’ is not new to the Star Wars franchise. In the Jedi Apprentice novel series, the planet Vandor-3 appeared on the scene. The novel explains and depicts the adventures of Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

Vandor 3 is also home to the Clone Troopers. ‘Was’ would be a more appropriate term since the Clone Troopers are no longer there within the present continuity of Star Wars. So to say Vandor-3 has seen its fair share of action would be utterly and entirely true.

It was previously revealed by Quirkybyte that the real name of the villain ‘Molcoh’ is probably Enfys Nest, a known villain from the Legends Universe. Enfys Nest is the leader of a gang of rogue bikers who aim to stop Han Solo or, at the very least, want him out of the way. The gang is called the Cloud-Riders and Emilia Clarke’s character Q’ira has some connection to them. This little leaf was also taken from Marvel Comics’ run on the Star Wars universe.

Emilia Clarke is famous for her portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen aka Mother of Dragons in HBO’s Game of Thrones. She was asked to shed some light on the movie but by now she has become an expert in guarding secrets. Here is what she said:

“She has a couple of guises, but essentially she is just fighting to stay alive. If you’ve got a really glamorous lady in a really sordid environment, you kind of know the glamor is hiding a few rough roads.”

“I genuinely can’t tell you anything other than Alden Ehrenreich is magnificent, and it’s a delight to do something on that level with really cool actors and nice people,” Clarke told CinemaBlendlast year. “But it’s even scarier talking about that than Game of Thrones.”

“All I can say is that she’s awesome,” Clarke explained to Rolling Stone. “Like, legit, that’s all I can actually get away with saying. There’s a stormtrooper with a gun, and he’s going to come walking in any second.”

Q’ira has got her own action figure and her packaging addresses her as “Q’ira (Corellia)”. The packaging description goes on to add:

“At 18 years of age, young Qi’Ra is already enmeshed in a life of crime, working for a gang on Corellia.”

Q’ira will be somehow involved with Enfys and the Cloud-Riders. The movie also has a time jump in place. So it will show events unfold before and after the time jump within the same runtime. Corellia is also the same character seen with Han Solo in the speeder in the TV Spot trailer. So we have to assume Q’ira is involved with Solo way before we could have ever anticipated.

Solo: A Star Wars Story

At this point of time, fans are welcoming anything and everything about Solo since Lucas Films is being more secretive than usual about this movie. We would love to corroborate this find but we have to admit this could just be a castle in the air (I am talking about the metaphor, not Tatooine!!).

Alden Ehrenreich had a ball shooting this film, he shared his thoughts on playing Han Solo. He said:

“Well, one thing that you kind of know about the Star Wars universe, but that you learn in a much more impactful way as you get into it, is that living in that universe is hard. Most people, especially during the reign of the Empire, are under the control of some kind of force or another. No pun intendedHaving the resources and stability to call your own shots, do what you want, have freedom, isn’t something that comes easily. So Han’s dream involves making that happen for himself”.

“I think it tells the story of a young man pursuing a dream to get out of his pretty rough upbringing, and a lot of the story is him trying to make this dream come true and finding out that it’s a lot harder than he had imagined”.

On being asked what is the difference between the young and old version of Han Solo, he said:

“I think the main thing that’s different is that the Han we meet in this film is more of an idealist, he has certain dreams that he follows, and we watch how it affects him as those dreams meet new realities, realities that are harder and more challenging than he’d expected”.

Here is the official synopsis for the movie released by Lucas Film, read it below:

“Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.”

We will keep you posted until further updates arrive.
