Here’s Why The Hulk Will Be Afraid of Thanos In Avengers: Infinity War

So Avengers: Infinity War keeps getting closer and closer to us! I am glad to say that only 43 days are left until this beginning of the epic finale hits us with the supervillain who will show Avengers how terribly tiny they all are in front of his might.

Honestly, everything will just be phenomenal and it will be something we have never seen before, as this movie is going to assemble more than 70 A-List actors at once which is something that has never happened in Hollywood before. Half of all comic book characters that will be introduced will be our beloved superheroes coming together to take down Thanos and his massive army.

The plot of Avengers Infinity War centers on Mad Titan ‘Thanos’ who wants to rule entire cosmos and become the most powerful cosmic creature, But for that, he needs to first collect all the six Infinity stones – Space, Power, Mind, Time, Reality, Soul. Till now, five Infinity gems have been discovered but the last remaining Soul gem is yet to be found. In the first official trailer, we saw Thanos already has acquired two Infinity stones – Space stone aka Tesseract and Power stone aka Orb. We also saw Thanos’ Black Order ripping Mind stone off Vision’s forehead. Time stone is with Dr. Strange, Reality stone is with ‘The Collector’ and Soul stone is allegedly with Iron Man.

Avengers: Infinity War thanos

Avengers: Infinity War is the most awaited event of this year, and we want to see how the Avengers take on the Mad Titan. We know Thanos is going to crush anyone that will come in his way, that’s why, we all are waiting to see one of the big guns of The Avengers, Hulk take on Thanos one on one.

This is a battle we have wanted to see ever since Avengers: Infinity War was announced. Many fans would imagine the Green Goliath smashing Thanos, and Thanos doing something which no one has ever been able to do, i.e. beat down the Hulk. There are fans who think this isn’t even a fair fight as Thanos ain’t a puny god like Loki (although it was unbelievable that Loki can be humiliated like that) but we ain’t seen nothing yet, so everything is just pure speculation.

By the looks of it, it seems as if we are going to get our wish answered in Infinity War pretty soon. Recently, “Comicbook.com” got to visit the set of Avengers: Infinity War, and as reported by them, they saw Bruce Banner entering Wakanda. This time Banner is going to have a greater reason to hang out with The Avengers because according to what Mark Ruffalo revealed about the Hulk, things might have gone crazy after the Sanctuary appeared in front of Thor’s ship during the mid-credits scene of Thor: Ragnarok. Here’s what he said:

“Banner knows probably more about Thanos than anybody. He’s really trying to impress on everybody how dangerous he is. It’s a little bit of a Chicken Little. He comes in screaming, ‘Bloody murder!’ He’s seen what damage [Thanos] can cause and how powerful he is. The entire group is in disarray, so there’s also getting caught up on what’s happened here. He’s trying to get them to transcend their differences and impress upon them how much danger they’re actually facing.”

Well, this will be interesting to see that how does Banner react to what has happened in his absence and how the Avengers react to his return and him warning the others about the upcoming threat. Since Hulk has been away from the Earth for 2 years, and most recently he has been hanging out with Thor. And on Earth, things got crazy with the whole Civil War thing that separated and broke the Avengers from the inside. So he might try to get everyone to collude and get ready for Thanos. Ruffalo added:

“The Hulk is also mightily impressed by Thanos. The division between Hulk and Banner is starting to blur a little bit. You have a Hulk that can actually express himself without being angry.”

hulk

This time the Avengers are in fact going to meet up with a different Hulk. Luckily, over the time Hulk has been away from Earth and as he has stayed in the Hulk form, he developed the ability to talk and even feel more than just anger. So he will be able to communicate with his old friends and with the new ones like Black Panther and many others, and this ability to express himself properly will come in really handy as the Hulk will have probably met Thanos and when he tells the others about that, they are going to know that the threat is serious as The Hulk is actually afraid of Thanos.

It is really hard to imagine, an individual who jumps to knock out a fire demon the size of a mountain is afraid of someone who is actually smaller than him in size. The reason why Hulk would be afraid will surely be because he will have gone toe-to-toe with Thanos right in the beginning of the movie when Thanos arrives in the Sanctuary in front of Thor’s ship, and this time Thanos will have given him the beat down of his life, utterly destroying him. That is probably why we see Hulk crash land in Banner from in the Sanctum. We saw Banner being all wore out worried to death, which would be because of the beating he recently suffered.

This brings in another theory that has been circulating around. It has been evident that Banner will be the one controlling the Hulkbuster armor this time being inside of it, and not Tony. So this is probably why Banner does not want to go back to being Hulk, because he is not able to turn back to Banner, and because the Hulk is actually afraid of what happened to him the last time, so he needs something as strong as the Hulk, and maybe even more powerful, and thus the Hulkbuster armor.

Here is the official synopsis released by the Marvel studios, read it below:

“As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain”.
