10 DC Supervillains Who May Join Lex Luthor’s Injustice League In The Sequel

The moment for DC fans to shine arrived and now it’s gone. We can all agree on one basic fact that DCEU needs to reinvent itself to create hysteria around its movies if it has to give a tough fight to the Marvel in the long run.  The Justice League sequel will not have the kind of hype that the first movie enjoyed. But we do know that the studio won’t let any stone unturned to make it a mega-hit.  In the second post-credit scene, we saw Lex Luthor and Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke forming a new team of villains called Injustice League. The team will try to take down the League but there will be more than just these two. Here are the possible candidates who can join the Injustice League and create chaos in the sequel:

1. Cheetah

Cheetah is one of the most significant villains of Wonder Woman. She has been blessed by the plant god, Urzkartaga to take the form of a were-cheetah. Cheetah possesses the same agility as that of a cheetah and is at par with Wonder Woman if we compare their strength. She is a warrior beast and a dark reflection of Wonder Woman.

Earlier, Gal Gadot stated her desire to see Cheetah in the sequel while having a discussion with Postmedia Network. She said:

“There’s so many good villains in the DC universe, but I would love to fight Cheetah. She’s a girl and that could be very interesting.”

2. Black Manta

Black Manta is Aquaman’s arch-enemy and is one of the most ruthless characters in the DC comics. He is a cold-blooded murderer and wants to kill Aquaman and the people he loves. This guy can also shoot laser beams from his eyes. The character will make his debut in the solo Aquaman movie which will release in December 2018. If the character survives the war, Lex will surely visit him and make him join his evil league of villains.

3. Reverse Flash

Reverse Flash is the biggest villain in the life of Barry Allen. He is a speedster from the 25th century who killed Nora Allen (Barry’s mom) so as to put Barry in a never-ending agony. The people familiar with the show The Flash would know who he is and what all things he’d done. The character is set to make his appearance in the Flashpoint movie whose release date hasn’t been announced yet. It’s quite possible that the villain finds his way to Lex’s Injustice League and become a part of it.

4. Black Adam

Black Adam has been waiting for years to make his way into DCEU. The character is the arch-enemy of Shazam. He’s more of an anti-hero and the protector of a middle eastern country known as Kahndaq. He has magic as his superpower and is incredibly powerful. DCEU has been in news lately for signing in Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to play the character and they are even planning for a solo adventure of the character even before Shazam. Even the thought of Black Adam fighting against Superman and Shazam gives DC fans orgasms and making him a part of Injustice League would be beneficial for Lex and his mates.

5. Starro the Conqueror

Starro the Conqueror may not be the most popular villain in the comics but he’s probably noteworthy. He was first introduced in Brave and the Bold #28, 1960. He belongs to a starfish-shaped alien species who tried to take control of the planet Earth but was ultimately stopped by the Justice League members including Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Martian-Manhunter and Green Lantern. Lex would love to have him on his side to take on the Justice League.

Recently, Ezra Miller had an interview with USA Today and there he addressed the possibility of fighting one of the most interesting Justice League villains, Starro the Conqueror in the future movies. He said:

“Shout out to Starro the Conqueror and let him know we’re still coming for him, should he ever choose to invade Earth once again.”

“We’ll give him a sharp punch to the thorax.”\

6. SINESTRO

There was a time when Sinestro was known as the finest and most respected officer in the corps but not for very long. Sinestro is famous for his betrayal to the corps and also being the arch nemesis of Hal Jordan. Now even though he is not the part of Green Lantern corps anymore it doesn’t deny the fact that he was one of the most will-fueled beings to wield a power ring. Although Sinestro relies on his yellow power ring now, which can cause intense psychological harm to anyone he wants.

The character could be in the Green Lantern Corps and given the fact that Justice League 2 will be released later, Lex would make the ‘fallen lantern’ join the team of the baddies.

7. Queen Clea

Queen Clea is the former queen of a kingdom within Atlantis. She is a classic Wonder Woman villain and is quite powerful. She would love to give Wonder Woman a beating and is surely a good choice to be included in Lex’s Injustice League.

8. Red Tornado

Red Tornado is the android created by T.O Morrow who is like the Vision(Marvel) of DC comics. Though he doesn’t have invisibility as one of his superpowers, he can a potential threat to the heroes as he can deflect Superman’s Heat Vision and Martian Manhunter’s force vision. Although T.O Morrow hasn’t made his debut in DCEU, it would be the best time for him and his powerful android to make their debut in the sequel.

9. Bizarro Superman

Injustice League

This could be the ‘cutest’ entry in the list. Well, it’s Bizarro that we’re talking about. The imperfect clone of Sups isn’t wicked at all at heart, just defected. With a mind of a 10-year-old, this guy is nothing more than someone who just is doing what he feels is right. Many times this guy has also been a help to the Superheroes.

We have seen what Lex did with the Kryptonian DNA in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, he had a lot of time to perfect his mistake and create an imposter of Superman to damage his reputation and even damage the league from within.

10. Joker

The Joker is a true psychopath and even in his deranged Cynical thinking, he sometimes makes a lot of sense. He is not bound to any moral code and truly acts upon his impulse to whatever he wants to do. Although he likes it solo, it will be great to see how Lex approaches the Joker and make him join the Injustice League. In the post-credit scene, Lex also mentions his name and it would be fun to see him aligning alongside the other big villains of DC.

What are your choices? Do mention them in the comment section!
