Stan Lee has to be the coolest old dude that there is to be. We all know him from his cameos in all the Marvel films, but that guy was the very creator of all the superheroes that we love so much. Here is a list of some of the best superheroes that he has created:
Spider-Man
He is undoubtedly the best character of Marvel Universe and has also been the franchise’s most profitable character. Connecting to everyone, it is a teen who takes on his neighborhood crime, eventually becoming an Avenger.
Iron Man
Iron Man has to be the most full of himself sarcastic character that the Marvel Universe has had to offer. Billionaire Philanthropist Playboy, Tony Stark armors himself in his own creation to fight off villains and score some chicks.
Hulk
The Hulk is one of the most complex characters of the Marvel Universe. A scientist, Bruce Banner, when gets hit by Gamma radiations, it turns him into a rage-filled Green colored superhuman.
Thor
Well surely someone as talented as Stan Lee can be the only one to actually create a God, Thor the Norse God of Thunder and the son of Odin was created by Stan Lee. He wields Mjolnir and by using his supernatural powers fights the mightiest villains of Marvel.
Black Widow
Natasha Romanov, a Russian spy who came in as an antagonist in the Iron Man comics eventually became a prominent member of Sh.H.I.E.L.D, as well as the Avengers, is a character loved by all, especially after being played by the hot Scarlett Johanson.
Ant-Man
Another complex character playing not in black and white but somewhere in the gray area, having the powers of shrinking to the level of an ant, Hank Pym is sometimes a member of the Avengers while sometimes taking them on himself.
Doctor Strange
Dr. Steven Strange after losing his hands in an accident makes him go to Nepal, where he gets the mystic powers that make him even defeat foes such as Dormammu. He is the best magician there is in the Marvel Universe.
Black Panther
Actually, Black Panther is a mantle that is passed on through the generations of T’Challa’s family. Not just that T’Challa, the king of Wakanda is an extremely worthy person even beating Captain America in fights and Iron Man in genius.
Nick Fury
This has to be one of the best ever characters created by Lee, Nick Fury is the one who is not just the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. but also the one who holds together the Avengers in the MCU.
Daredevil
Also known as the Man Without Fear, he was the first superhero with a disability. Stan Lee created Daredevil back in 1964 with artist Bill Everett.
Scarlet Witch
Scarlett Witch and her twin brother, Quicksilver, were an attempt of Stan Lee to create villains that weren’t bad throughout their lives. She eventually became one of the most powerful and important characters in Marvel. She has powers that can warp reality and she once wiped out all mutants by merely uttering “No More Mutants”.
Hawkeye
Hawkeye is one of the most prominent and funniest members of The Avengers in comics. Stan Lee created him as a villain with artist Don Heck for “Tales of Suspense” #57 in 1964 (against Iron Man). He lost his hearing in the 1983 four-issue “Hawkeye” miniseries which is created by Mark Gruenwald.
So who is the most popular of them all? It’s not Iron Man, not Thor either. It’s gotta be Spider-Man. Spidey is the most beloved superhero in the entire Marvel Universe. He has been everyone’s favorite even before the first Spider-Man movie starring Tobey Maguire was released. But now it is obvious that Robert Downey Jr’s mind-bending performance made Iron Man much more iconic and popular, taking him beyond any other character including everyone from DC Comics!
