This Is Bad News For Venom Fans But There Is Silver Lining

The character of Venom has featured in the past Spiderman trilogy directed by Sam Raimi, but it seemed rushed and shoddy. Sam Raimi confessed the fact that he never wanted Venom in the last installment but studio meddled and forced him to include him, as a result, it turned out to be a disaster. Since then there has been a lot of chatter about a possible spin-off movie at Sony, but it went nowhere as he didn’t appear in the Amazing Spiderman franchise too.

There was also a rumor about two different versions of Spiderman, one in Marvel cinematic universe and another in Spiderman/Venom movies much like Quick Silver were two different actors play the same character in two different universes. Unfortunately, around the same time, Sony e-mail scandal surfaced which revealed how big a travesty was Sinister Six and Venom spin-off which was also in the pipeline.

But after this crisis came an opportunity, when Sony and Marvel studios decided to collaborate and bring Spiderman into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He guest-starred in Captain America: Civil War and a brand new Spiderman franchise was brought alive, Tom Holland has been cast as new Spiderman.

There was also a strong possibility of Venom coming in Infinity War movies as “Sybiotes” as part of the Phase 3. The movie was supposed to be set in space, Spiderman’s role is expanding in Marvel movies, hence it would have made a lot of sense to bring Venom into the Marvel cinematic universe.

Venom is a darker version of Peter Parker/Spiderman who possess all his abilities and powers except his senses and an advanced Iron-Spidey suit designed by Stark Industries (of corse). He has the power to evolve and adapt itself in different environments, has the unique ability to embody all the abilities of his opponent which makes him an unstoppable monster. He can never run out of webs as his suit can generate endless webbing.

Fans believed that Venom will definitely get another shot, and it did as Tom Hardy was cast as the new Venom. Sony tasted massive success with Homecoming movie. Moreover, the events of Infinity war could lead to a Venom movie. So what could go wrong now?

Well, OmegaUnderground is reporting that the production of the movie has been pushed back to October 23rd, 2017 now as crew members are demanding some time off as there is so much shooting happening in Atlanta, USA for movies such as Avengers 4, Ant-Man and the Wasp etc. There have been reports of delay in the past but now it’s official. But the good news is that it will not affect the date of release which is October 5, 2018, it’s just that we have to wait a little longer to see the first look of Tom Hardy as Venom.venom

Further, it was rumored that the movie will also feature Carnage and She-Venom but no concrete details have been released. It’s a matter of time before the project takes off and paparazzi gives us some behind the scenes shots from the sets of the movie.
