Zack Snyder Set to Leave JUSTICE LEAGUE Half-Way After Tragic Loss

It seems like the problems for DCEU is never ending. Just only 2 months after they released the trailer for their ambitious project, Justice League releasing later this year, director Zack Snyder is set to leave the film mid-way. The reason for Snyder’s stepping down is that he needs to spend more time with his family after the tragic loss of his daughter Autumn, who committed suicide earlier this year. Snyder’s wife, Deborah who is a producer for the film is also taking time off.

ZACK SNYDERLEAGUEThe movie already had taken a break in March to deal with this tragic loss, but in a recent interview Snyder told that,

In my mind, I thought it was a cathartic thing to go back to work, to just bury myself and see if that was the way through it. The demands of this job are pretty intense. It is all-consuming. And in the last two months, I’ve come to the realisation … I’ve decided to take a step back from the movie to be with my family, be with my kids, who really need me. They are all having a hard time. I’m having a hard time.

The family earlier kept the information about the suicide private, but later on, Snyder went public to avoid any speculations. Warner Bros have also backed both of their decision to spend some time-off.

Toby Emmerich, president of Warner Bros has confirmed that the film is complete only a few re-shoots are left and Joss Whedon is set to complete rest of the film. He has made it pretty clear that this is still Snyder’s film all the way.

With The Avenger’s director Joss Whedon set to carry on the project, it is still in contention for its initial November release in 2017.

Here’s praying for Zack Snyder and his family a speedy recovery from their loss and may Autumn’s soul rest in peace.
