5 Major Hidden Clues From Guardians 2 That You May Have Missed

There were a lot of references and easter eggs in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 that fans may have missed. After all, the sequel was jam-packed with random tidbits, about here are the 5 major ones you need to know:

Social Media Inspired One Conversation:

In Vol 2, there was a hilarious conversation between Ego the Living Planet and the Guardians team. Drax The Destroyer asks Ego how he procreated with Peter’s mom, to which Ego confirms he made himself a human penis. The conversation was lifted off from director James Gunn’s conversation with fans on social media, who like Drax and the others just were curious enough the mechanic involved in procreating Peter.

Adam Warlock Is Confirmed For MCU:

In the post-credit scene, Ayesha has created the perfect being called Adam. Since she stares longingly into a pod, it’s no doubt that Adam Warlock will be in the third film. [Later confirmed by James Gunn]. In the comics, Ayesha was the female counterpart of Adam, sometimes being called “Him” TrashPandas  became “Her.”

The Meme Effect:

Peter Quill begins the name calling with Rocket The Raccoon when they get into a huge fight. Quill calls Rocket “Trash Panda,” an insult that actually came straight out of a popular meme. Trash Panda is a nickname given to raccoons. In the website Reddit,  there is a group devoted entirely to “trashTrashPandas became one of the biggest trending Reddit communities.

80’s Superstar Cameo:

David Hasselhoff or “The Hoff” as he was nicknamed was one of the biggest superstars in the 1980’s. A time when the TV show “Knight Rider” was a huge hit. Peter Quill idolized him enough to tell his friends that David was his father. The Hoff makes a cameo when shapeshifting Ego briefly transforms into the actor.

The Other Guardians Team:

Sylvester Stallone plays Starhawk, a ravager in Vol. 2. The character is also responsible for forming a Guardians team in another timeline, a fact that is duly noted by the end of the movie when the ex-teammates sister Aleta (Michelle Yeoh), Mainframe (Miley Cyrus), Charlie-27 (Ving Rhames) and Martinex (Michael Rosenbaum) band together after meeting again at Yondu’s Ravager funeral. A new team in the works for a third film?..maybe.
