The depiction of Cannibalism has always been a sensitive issue. Mainly because of the sadism, necromancy, brutality and cannibalism it never gets to hit the theater. Here is a list of five Hollywood movies which were banned due to its disturbing content.
1) Cannibal Ferox(1981)
This movie is said to be the “most violent movie ever made”. The film was written and directed by Umberto Lenzi and was banned in 31 countries. The movie revolves around three friends who are on a journey to disapprove cannibalism.
2) Cannibal Holocaust(1980)
When the film came out, believe it or not, the film authorities summoned the director Ruggero Deodato to present his full cast in the courtroom to prove that they hadn’t been killed during the making. It is by far one of the most violent movies ever made.
