The Game of Thrones Season 5 has finally reached to its shore, entertaining fans of the show with its intrigue, crafting intricate plots & complex characters that left audiences wanting for more. The 9th hour of the season could’nt bring a sense of closure to many storylines which need to be taken to their logical conclusions. The hype building around the last episode titled “Mother’s Mercy” is palpable and intoxicating. The D&D duo has a big responsibility on their shoulders to end the season in a satisfying manner. Here is my wishlist of 5 things that must happen in the season finale:
Death of Meryn Trant:
In the last episode, it was shown that Meryn Trant (member of King’s Guard of Robert Baratheyn, killed Arya’s teacher) reached Braavos with Mace Tyrell. He is in the “kill list” which Arya carries with her all the time. At this point, we know that he is a paedophile and a scumbag. Thus, Arya deserves some amount of revenge and tick off his name from the list.
Ramsay Bolton’s Head on a spike:
It’s a long standing demand of the fans of Game of Thrones to see the death of Ramsay in a brutal manner. After the shocking scene of Princess Shireen being burnt alive by her own father as a sacrifice to the Lord of Light, hopefully his armies would gather strength and march to the Winterfell and end the Boltons control over the north.
Twist in Dorne’s Storyline:
Till now, not much has happened in Dorne, after Jamie Lannister and Bronn was captured, Prince Doran of House Martell summoned them and pardoned them on a condition that Trystane Martell will go to King’s Landing and sit in a small council. Someone needs to die here as there are no happy endings in Game of Thrones….Right…
Death of a Major Character at Castle Black:
From the time, Jon Snow returned to other side of the wall with Wildlings, there is a sense of trepidation in the camp. In my view, someone important is going to die, it could be Oli who may try to kill Jon Snow and lose his life or he may actually succeed and we may see end of Jon Snow. Another person could be Sam who might die while protecting Jon Snow. Time will tell…
Trial by Combat:
We have been waiting endlessly to see a Trial by Combat in season 5. The trials of Cersei and Margery Tyrell are the most awaited events, hoping to see some shocking back and forth between High Sparrow and the Queen mother.
