Avengers: Endgame Script Reveals The Final Thoughts of Tony Stark Before Dying

Final Thoughts of Tony Stark Before Dying:

Avengers: Endgame script is now available online. We’ve got to read the masterful work of the writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The script has revealed so many other details that didn’t show up in the final cut of the film. Did you know that Steve Rogers was 112 years old when he met Sam Wilson to give him the shield? This is what the script revealed. It also revealed how Dormammu was supposed to make a cameo in the movie. And now, another interesting detail reveals the final thought of Tony Stark right before he died.

Tony Stark’s final moments were bittersweet. We had the thrill of him throwing his catchphrase right before snapping, but following that was the sorrow of losing him. Peter came in to confront him, Rhodey showed how proud he was and Pepper finally let him go. She understood how important it was for him to be the one to make the snap and she let him go by making Tony believe that it was okay, he has left his wife and his daughter in a much safer world. But apparently, Tony had his own thoughts while his soul left his body. His final words were “Hey, Pep,” but what he meant to say after that was “I’m sorry.” Here’s the portion of the Endgame script that reveals this:

This was really heartfelt and really emotional. Marvel deleted two other emotional scenes that involved Morgan and the entire set of heroes who were present during the final battle of Endgame. Tony goes into the Soul World right after he snaps. He finds the older version of his daughter (played by Katherine Stark). He apologizes to her and she forgives him. Right after this scene, we come back to the real world and this is what happens:

The Avengers honor Tony Stark. They pay their respect by bowing down to his valiance. He saved the Universe from the wrath of Thanos. This scene was so awesome because we witness a God, a leader, a King, heroes from space, and so many others bow down to the valiance of Tony. This scene was removed because every one of these heroes showed up at his funeral as well. But still, no one could argue with the fact that we wouldn’t have minded seeing both the scenes together.

In fact, people would actually pay for an extended cut of Endgame with even more scenes. The battle could be made longer. But saying this is an even bigger fiction than the release of the Justice League Snydercut. We teased certain other revelations from the script of Endgame. It revealed 3 new names that were a victim to Thanos’ snap. These names were – Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), Wong (Benedict Wong) and Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt). Here’s the draft of the screenplay that reveals this:

“A HOLO-DISPLAY ROTATING THROUGH FACES OF PEOPLE WE’VE LOST: WANDA. VISION. BUCKY. T’CHALLA. MARIA HILL.

RHODEY
It’s been twenty-three days since Thanos came to Earth.

TONY, weak, sits in a hi-tech wheelchair, IV dripping into his arm. He stares, taking in the loss: SAM WILSON. SECRETARY ROSS. SHARON CARTER. SCOTT LANG. HOPE VAN DYNE. HANK PYM. NICK FURY.

At Fury, Carol bites back emotion.

NATASHA
World governments are in pieces, as you can imagine. But the parts that still work are trying to take a census. It looks like he did what he said he was going to do.

JANE FOSTER. ERIK SELVIG. WONG. DR. STRANGE. THE BARTON FAMILY. QUILL. DRAX. MANTIS. GROOT. PETER PARKER.

Finally, Tony looks away. RHODEY turns it off.”

But in the film, only these characters were shown as dead dusts –– Bucky (Sebastian Stan), Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgård), Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp), Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Peter Parker (Tom Holland), Shuri (Letitia Wright), T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) and the supposedly-dead Scott Lang (Paul Rudd).

Give the script another read. See if you find some other interesting details.
