Captain Marvel Vs. Jane Foster Thor – Which Female Superhero Will Win This Death Match

Captain Marvel Vs. Jane Foster Thor:

Not long ago, Marvel Studios realized those female superheroes are just as profitable as male superheroes right after the success of DCEU’s Wonder Woman. The rival studio immediately followed up with Captain Marvel. Carol Danvers became an instant sensation amongst the moviegoers. Marvel Cinematic Universe, being the world’s most profitable franchise and one of the flagship superheroes of Marvel Comics, soon caught the spotlight. She was the new champion of the 21st Century. And then Jane Foster changed the game altogether. Nobody thought that a meek cancer-stricken woman could become the apple of the eye of every comic book fan ever in such a short amount of time. Foster proved everyone wrong by defying all expectations. The world is about to witness Jane Foster picking up the hammer in live-action as well. Thor: Love and Thunder will see the debut of Jane Foster as Thor – Goddess of Thunder. But now the fans are confused. Which superheroine to support is the answer they seek! And most importantly, who is more powerful??

Captain Marvel

In the movies, Carol Danvers gains her powers from being exposed to cosmic energies emanating from the Space Stone. The Comics show her origin story in a different light but the basic set of abilities she possesses remains the same. Carol Danvers has a link to a white hole – which is the opposite of a black hole. As a result, Danvers can have total control of stellar energy and radiation and command over everything within the electromagnetic spectrum.

She can fly at a speed which is six times the speed of sound and can stay unaided in space. In her binary form, she was able to destroy an entire armada of Builder warships, considered to be made of the toughest materials to ever exist. Danvers also possesses a seventh sense that allows her to sense and perceive things before they actually happen or are too far away. Her military expertise also taught her how to fight in close quarters and made her a good, disciplined strategist.

Jane Foster Thor

Jane Foster never intended to be Thor. For Foster, greatness happened by accident and she managed to make the most of it. After lifting the Mjolnir hammer, Foster gained the ability to turn her frail human physiology into superior Asgardian physiology and gained superhuman physical attributes of strength, speed, endurance, reflexes, durability, and stamina. She also gained an inhuman healing factor. Jane Foster also quickly learned all the powers that are granted to her as the Goddess of Thunder. She had the ability to control storms and create lightning.

What set Foster’s Thor incarnation apart from the rest is the way she managed to control her weapon. Mjolnir changed its speed mid-flight. Sometimes, even the trajectory was changed while it was still in the air. Jane Foster could also throw Mjolnir in such a way that it could circle its enemies. That is a level of control none of Mjolnir’s predecessors’ could boast of.

Who takes the cake – Jane Foster Thor or Captain Marvel?

The fight will be a very close one. Jane Foster’s resourcefulness is a well-known trait that she has used to defeat villains way stronger than her before. On the other hand, Captain Marvel’s headstrong persona means that she would never ever even think about backing down. But there can be only one winner. And the winner is…

Captain Marvel!! As much as we would like Jane Foster to win, Captain Marvel is just too well-versed and experienced in her abilities than Jane Foster could be. Maybe in the future, if Jane Foster decides to lift the hammer again and practice a little bit, she could defeat Captain Marvel. But right now, there is no way in hell Jane Foster Thor could defeat Carol Danvers. Captain Marvel takes the cake fair and square.

The last Avengers movie to be released was Avengers: Endgame. It was released on the 26th of April, 2019. The official film synopsis of the movie states:
