The No Way Home Ending Plot Hole Could Be Fixed With This Crazy Spider-Verse Theory

No Way Home showed us a brave new world. A new world that was not constrained to one universe. It is always nice to see a cinematic universe grow, especially one as endearing as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. To this end, even No Way Home was not the movie to make the multiverse happen but today we will talk about it regardless for different reasons. After the appearance of Vulture in SSU’s Morbius, Doctor Strange’s spell in the MCU makes no sense. No Way Home ending plot hole is affecting the entire multiverse. Characters were supposed to be pulled to the MCU and not thrown from it into different universes.

Moreover, if no one is supposed to remember who Spider-Man is, why is Michael Keaton being bounced around? Wasn’t the final spell supposed to fix everything? Clearly, the current explanation of the events can be called shoddy. It might be because of the haphazard nature of storytelling or Sony’s lack of experience in the area but we feel there is more to this deal. For starters, another Spider-verse movie is coming out, and fully expect it to be better than the first one. In fact, we have a Spider-verse 2 theory in mind that might plug that No Way Home plot hole. Let me break it down for you in full detail and then keep reading for my analysis and speculation.

No Way Home Ending Plot Hole

So, as is known various movies were showcased during Cinemacon 2022. Spider-verse 2 was also one of these. The studio showed 15 minutes of the movie to the audience. In these 15 minutes, we saw that Earth-65’s Spider-Gwen was being hunted by a sepia-toned version of the Vulture with an Italian accent. The only problem is that this Vulture is not native to Gwen’s universe. Soon she finds herself back to back with Spider-Man 2099. This Spider-Man explains to Gwen that Kingpin’s machine has fractured the multiverse and crazy things will keep happening unless they fix it.

It seems that the Vulture being transported to Gwen’s universe is a part of this disturbance. Our theory is that it might not just be this vulture that has been transported across universes because of this. It is possible that Keaton’s Vulture was thrown from MCU to SSU because of Kingpin’s actions and not Strange’s spell. Maybe the multiverse decided to focus on Toomes rather than Peter for no particular reason. This implication has raised the stakes in this conflict throughout the multiverse. The MCU, SSU, and the animated universes will have to work together to ensure that the Vultures are sent to their home dimensions lest they be lost in the multiverse.

This means that we might get more displaced villains in the MCU. In fact, we think that is exactly what Sony wants to do in the long run. They want to make character origin stories in their own bubble but then want those characters to fight Spider-Man in the MCU. The studio might also feel the need to introduce their own Spider-Man down the line but for now, they have everything that they need.

The Future

No Way Home ending plot hole

This theory will explain everything since the multiverse disturbance will no longer be only because of Strange. We feel that this is an important bit of information and may also betray some plot elements for Multiverse of Madness. If there are multiple multiverse-breaking events in the multiverse, we might see more of them in Doctor Strange 2. Strange and Wanda might not be the villains of the movie at all.

It is possible that everyone in the multiverse is merely a victim of their faith and of the multiversal will. Maybe Kang is trying to free himself of this very cycle.
