The Fast & Furious franchise is ever increasing with a lot of actors being a part of the ‘family’ in the movies. This has allowed for the storylines to get even crazier and involve some of the craziest names in the franchise. Presently, the cast is working on the final two entries of the franchise and it is very exciting to hear that some new names are joining the cast again. A few months back it was announced that Aquaman star Jason Momoa has joined the cast for the second to the last entry to the franchise. Now Fast 10 adds Brie Larson to its cast.
Fast & Furious
Over the years, a variety of stars have become a part of the franchise. The franchise doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon either. There are cast members who end up appearing randomly in some of the movies. The franchise first began more than 20 years ago with the idea of racing-centric action films and ever since then each entry has been a box office win for the franchise. Even though the movies often go absolutely crazy with the concept of cars and how they work, it seems that the fans enjoy these absolutely crazy action pieces. The racing narrative has now become something about heists and taking cars beyond the limits of what they can do.
Vin Diesel is one of the original cast members of the movies and seems to be leading the franchise. Other popular names include Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson who ended up being a part of the franchise. The duo even appeared in their solo spin-off film which is also supposed to get a sequel sometime soon. The last entry saw John Cena getting into the action and we can be fairly certain that he will be returning for another entry. As the franchise is set to give us the final two-part entry finale, other stars are joining in on the franchise.
Captain Marvel Star Joins Fast & Furious
Only a few months ago, it was announced that Aquaman and Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa will be joining the Fast & the Furious. There was no confirmation regarding the character even though it was majorly hinted that it will be a negative role. Vin Diesel took to Instagram to announce that Captain Marvel star Brie Larson will also be joining the mega-franchise. He has clearly indicated that she will be playing a major role in the next movie and her role will be able to justify her acting skills.
Along with a photo of her, Diesel stated,
Yeah yeah yeah… you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to your self “ that’s captain Marvel”. Clearly there is love and laughter in this image. What you don’t see however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast10. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for.

Brie Larson Reacts To Being A Part of Fast & Furious 10
Larson has also shown her excitement for being roped into the franchise. The actor stated that she is quite thrilled and eager to get involved in the movie and posted about it on her Instagram in order to show her excitement. This means that the actor is now a part of two of the largest franchises and it is clearly going to be exciting for the fans to see her next to Aquaman and Groot. There’s no clear indication regarding the role that she will be playing in the movie. It would be interesting to see how the franchise brings her in considering past characters have always joined in with some family relation at play.
The MCU star has a major upcoming project with her upcoming entry in the superhero franchise, The Marvel set to come out soon. Not only that but the actor will also be seen majorly referenced in the upcoming Disney+ series in Ms Marvel. Her next superhero entry will be released three months before the Fast & Furious movie where she will be making her debut. Fast & Furious 10 will be released in theatres worldwide on May 19, 2023. But before that, we will get to see Larson make an appearance in the MCU with The Marvels, set to be released in theatres on February 17, 2023.
