There is a lot of excitement surrounding the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe projects as they are going to be sequels to some of the major movies. But just like any other MCU project the secrecy around its development has not allowed us to find anything about them. One of the most exciting ones of these projects is the upcoming Thor sequel, Thor: Love & Thunder. There is much excitement surrounding it considering it will be the first hero in the MCU to have 4 solo ventures. But the larger excitement is because of the massive transition the arc of Thor might have with this movie. There are some major changes coming to the MCU and there are even going to be changed in the way these characters look and appear. A leaked Phase 4 poster has revealed the new helmet of Thor and the suit he will sport in Love & Thunder.
Thor: Love & Thunder
Thor: Love & Thunder might be the next MCU project that might feature the most number of characters. Presently the number of characters to be appearing in the movie is still increasing with some new rumors floating around. Thor 4 will see Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster becoming Mighty Thor after returning to the franchise since we last saw her in Thor: The Dark World. Not only that but the movie will also feature Thor’s newly made friends, the Guardians of the Galaxy. While these faces might be the ones we might have been used to in the last few MCU movies but there are a lot of fresh faces also making their MCU debuts. But recently there has been a lot of excitement regarding the leaked details regarding the costumes of the characters.
Leaked details showed some major updates regarding Valkyrie’s character who was last seen in Avengers: Endgame. Fans noticed that the leaked details actually indicated that she might be appearing in something that looks a lot more Asgardian. Not only that but there were also some interesting details regarding Jane Foster’s new costume in the movie. This costume might actually give us some insight regarding her transformation in the character of Mighty Thor. We even saw some major updates to the costume of Thor that were a lot more different than his last appearance in the MCU.
Leaked Phase 4 Poster Reveals The New Helmet of Thor
Redditor u/Ryantcairns leaked a post for the Phase 4 set of heroes for the Marvel Studios that might give some insight into Thor’s new costume. This costume might actually give us some insight regarding the changes that Thor will go through in Love & Thunder. The post also features other MCU heroes like Spider-Man, Shang-Chi, Starlord, Okoye, Groot, and a lot more. But the prime focus is shifted to the new look of the characters of Thor and Jane Foster.
Most of this costume was revealed in a previously leaked concept art for Thor in Love & Thunder. While this costume matches the one that we saw in the concept art, there are still some new developments in terms of Thor’s new blue and gold helmet. This helmet is actually rather similar to the design for his new upgraded matching suit. Even Jane Foster’s costume is also similar to the various leaked details regarding her in the concept art for Mighty Thor.
Some other exciting details in the poster include the appearance of Ms. Marvel and Black Panther. Ms. Marvel is yet to make her Marvel debut with her new Disney+ series this year and also being a part of the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels. On closer inspection, one might also see Black Panther being a part of the poster. This might actually mean that we will get to see some version of Black Panther in the future. But there is no clear indication over whether this is going to be the new Black Panther that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever might end up introducing.
But this poster can’t be held accountable for the exact details regarding the future of the MCU. This is because the poster also features the character of Steve Rogers and Iron Man who have actually died according to the MCU. There are some characters who didn’t make the cut and this includes the likes of Ant-Man and Star-Lord. But one of the most significant developments rather noticeable here is the major influence the Eternals might have had on Thor’s costume. It’s quite similar to Ikaris don’t you think???
