Robert Pattinson Says He Can’t Talk About ‘The Batman’ Role

No matter how many downfalls The Batman is going to have on the big screen, the hype will always be there. Such is the impact of Batman’s legacy. Now, Robert Pattinson has been linked with the character for the upcoming Matt Reeves’ film. And, despite no official announcement the whole internet has simply taken a deep dive into the pool of discussion. But, is Robert Pattinson the right name to lead the legacy of Caped Crusader on his back? Well, we have mixed opinions from the fans and critics. Many are still hopeful as they are focusing on the fact that all these are just rumors but sadly, those people are going to feel bad now, as Pattinson has ignored a question related to his potential role by admitting he can’t talk about this at the Cannes Film Festival.

Pattinson was with other stars of his upcoming film ‘The Lighthouse’ at the Cannes Film Festival and, it was obvious that every journalist would ask him, ‘Are you playing Batman?’ Well, our journalists didn’t disappoint us as they asked this question and Pattinson, in reply, said,

“I’m sorry, but I absolutely can’t talk about that.”

So, now there are two things maybe Warner Bros. Aand DC are still auditioning Robert Pattinson in order to confirm that he’s the best in the industry right now for this role. Or maybe, they threw the name of Pattinson out only to see the reactions of people. And, they might not cast him after seeing that it has divided their own fanbase.

But we simply can’t find any reason in his statement other than the clearly seen fact that he is in talks to play Batman. And, the fans who are getting disappointed should watch his two films Cosmopolis & Good Time, maybe they’ll feel a bit assured that the man will do justice to the role.
