The Brand New Avengers Infinity War Synopsis Has Been Released

The first Avengers Infinity War trailer has already hit the internet and the fans have really loved it. The expectations have escalated manifold and fans are ready to eat the tiniest of hints leading to the grand event called Infinity War.

The trailer was epic, breathtaking, an action-packed extravaganza that has the potential to become the highest-grossing movie ever given the massive positive reception it has received in the first 24 hours of release from Marvel fan community and superhero film lovers in general.

Although the Infinity war cast is stacked up with heavy-weights, the most important comic-book character is Thanos. Till now, he has been teased in Marvel movies in post-credits of Phase 2, 3 films, but Infinity war will be the first major project where he is going to be the central antagonist pursuing his sinister ends.

In the trailer, we saw actor Josh Brolin playing super-villain Thanos and his transformation into the most powerful cosmic being in the galaxy is terrifying as hell. We saw first-hand the massive powers of Infinity gems, each of them individually are powerful but collectively they can rewrite reality and destroy worlds.

“With “Infinity War,” the biggest new element to the movie is Thanos and the fact that he’s entering the storytelling in a very bold, strong way, to the degree that he’s almost one of the leads. We’ve shaped an interesting narrative around him that in some ways leans heavily on a heist film in the fact that he’s going after the infinity stones in a much bolder, successful way than he has in the past. The entire movie has that energy of the bad guy being one step ahead of the heroes. We looked at a lot of movies that had that heist-style energy to them, and that brought some inspiration”.

In the MCU, there are six infinity gems that Thanos needs to assemble an infinity gauntlet and control literally every aspect of cosmic existence. There are five Infinity stones that have been introduced but soul stone is yet to be discovered. Here’s what the Collector said:

“Before creation itself, there were six singularities. Then the universe exploded into existence, and the remnants of these systems were forged into concentrated ingots… Infinity Stones.”―The Collector

So which of the Infinity Stones he has managed to steal in the trailer?

The blue one is the Space Stone that was previously used to power Tesseract during the Chitauri invasion at the Battle of New York. It is the first Infinity stone which allows you to be omnipresent and warp yourself in any part of the universe. It helps in opening portals that can be used for interstellar teleportation. It is orange in color in comics (although it has been shown in blue in MCU).

Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D said in ‘The Avengers’ –

“Howard Stark fished that out of the ocean when he was looking for you. He thought what we think; the Tesseract could be the key to unlimited sustainable energy. That’s something the world sorely needs.”

The other stone is purple in color i.e Power Stone aka Orb which we saw in Guardians of the Galaxy. Ronan, the Collector was entrusted with the task of stealing it but Peter Quill’s dream hampered the plans and decided that it would be better protected by Nova Corps. The Mad Titan must have destroyed Nova Corps and retrieved the ‘Orb’ that allows the user to have godlike abilities. It is red in comics.

Marvel Studios has now released a brand new synopsis of the upcoming Avengers Infinity War:

“An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

Anthony and Joe Russo direct the film, which is produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee are the executive producers. Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay. “Avengers: Infinity War” releases in U.S. theaters on May 4, 2018.”

Here’s what the old synopsis of the movie said:

“As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain”.

Marvel Cinematic Universe will systematically expand to around 68 comic-book characters who are likely to appear in Avengers Infinity War. The superheroes will be literally jostling for screen time and space. The Russo Brothers had clarified that the final two movies in phase 3 are two independent movies without any major inter-linkages. The first one is from Team Avengers perspective while the second one is entirely based on Thanos storyline.

The studio has been building the hype of Thanos over a series of films, so expectations of Marvel fans are very high, some even believe that the movie will not only break the record of highest box-office collections for a superhero movie but of any movie. And it’s heartening to see that things are falling into the right place.

The cast of the movie includes Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Chris Pratt (Star Lord), Tom Holland (Spider-Man),Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Dave Bautista (Drax), Vin Diesel (Groot), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Bethany (Vision), Sebastian Stan (Winter Solder), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Josh Brolin (Thanos) and others.
