4 Reasons That Prove Optimus Prime Is The Last Knight In Transformers 5

With the release of Transformers: The Last Knight’s trailer, it was heavily implied that Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots was indeed The Last Knight. Here are four reasons to prove it:

Transformers: Age Of Extinction Gave the First Clue

While Optimus Prime was imprisoned in Age Of Extinction, he learns about the Creators who are hunting down the ‘bots due to their interaction with the humans. The Thirteen was the first victim of their wrath. After his escape, Optimus decides that he would seek out the Creators instead of them hunting he and his fellow Autobots down.

Optimus Is The Last Prime

Optimus has been known as “The Last Prime” since the beginning of the franchise. The all-powerful Primus created thirteen Primes to help defeat his evil twin Unicron. Each robot was given a particular power that made them powerful opponents in battle. Optimus was closely aligned with Primus, so his power was that of a leader who could herald the Thirteen. The Cybertronian War forced Optimus to give up his Prime role and to choose to be reborn with no memories of his past life.Optimus will look into his past so that he could take on the role of The Last Knight.

Optimus Prime’s Ease With Ancient Artifacts

Optimus Prime has always had an ease when using ancient artifacts. This has included various weapons like the Forge of Solus Prime, Cyber Caliber, The Blades of Time, Key to Vector Sigma, The Star Saber and the mighty Prime Decepticon Hunter, which Optimus almost exclusively uses as a sword and The Matrix of Leadership.

Optimus Already Had A Suit For Battle

One image that failed to make it into Age Of Extinction was Optimus in his Knight suit. A suit which he had used to battle Dinobots at the Age Of Extinction. With the unraveling of his history, Optimus would definitely go back to this steel like a suit to battle the Creators.
