New Black Panther Poster Has Created Sensation In Marvel Fan Community

Black Panther made his debut in the Marvel cinematic universe in the Captain America Civil War, he is played by famous actor Chadwick Boseman. His native name is T’Challa, son of King T'Chaka who died in Captain America: Civil War.

Marvel Studios earlier launched the official trailer for the movie (see above) and a few weeks ago, later, individual character posters were also released. Now they have launched a new poster featuring every major character from the movie. Take a look:
Here are the individual character posters, in case you haven't seen them earlier: Ramonda
Ramonda is the mother and the adviser of the Wakandan king, T'Challa. She is there to help her son follow the footsteps of his father.
Okoye
Okoye is a proud traditionalist and the head of an elite all-female warrior group called the Dora Milaje. The character is played by the Walking Dead star, Danai Gurira who plays the character of Michonne on the show.
Shuri
Shuri is the sister of T'Challa and the princess of the Wakanda. She is an inventor and in the comics, she graduates to become the first ever female Black Panther.
Nakia
Nakia is the former love-interest of the Wakandan king, T'Challa and an undercover operative of Dora Milaje. The Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyon'o is playing this character.
W'Kabi
W'Kabi is the leader of the border tribe which is also considered as the first line of defense of Wakanda. Daniel Kaluuya is playing the character of W'Kabi who is also a friend and confidant of T'Challa.
Zuri
Zuri is the spiritual and religious leader of Wakanda. He is also a statesman and is the keeper of a special herb that gives T'Challa his powers. Actor Forest Whitaker is playing this character.
M'Baku
M'Baku is the leader of The Jubari, the mountain tribe that worships the gorilla gods and not the panther god. The people of his tribe a religious tribe who protested against the crowning of T'Challa. The character is played by the Person of Interest star Winston Duke.
Everett K. Ross
Everett K. Ross is the member of Joint Counter Terrorism Center. The character is played by the Hobbit star Martin Freeman.
Erik Killmonger
Erik Killmonger is the main villain of the movie. Michael B. Jordan is playing this character who wants to overthrow the Wakandan king, T'Challa. And to meet his plans, he teams up with Ulysses Klaue to launch the plan to disrupt Wakanda.
Ulysses Klaue
Ulysses Klaue is a black market smuggler who invades Wakanda to steal the precious Vibranium ore. He is working with Eric Killmonger to overthrow the T'Challa.
Black Panther / T'Challa
T'Challa is a brilliant strategist, scientist, tactician with a hybrid fighting style incorporating acrobatics and animal mimicry played by Chadwick Boseman. He wears a suit made of vibranium (world’s strongest metal) which is used to make Captain America’s Shield as well. He is also called as “King of the dead” in latest Marvel comics, which gives him access to all the experiences and wealth of knowledge of the previous Black Panthers. Once, he along with Namor located the hideout of Dr. Strange where he kept a fully completed gauntlet. He used it to fight Doom, won hands down and then came back in time.
The movie will also focus on his grieving process after losing his father. Earlier in an interview with CBR, Chadwick Boseman said:
“It’s funny because, on one hand, the Marvel movies that I’ve liked the most are the ones that are funny. I love Ant-Man. But for me, most of the time the darker superhero movies are the ones that I gravitate towards, that I love the most. So I’m glad that I’m not in an Ant-Man. I’m glad that the tone of the movie may be a little grittier. I just wanted to establish that from the beginning, that’s what we were doing. That that’s what I intend to do. I feel like we’ll end up in a place that I’ve always wanted to be when I look at superhero movies. Those are the ones I like the most. It’s exciting to do that.”
The Russo Brothers also believe that there is no need to shoot scenes pertaining to the origin story, according to them he is already a Black Panther and will become King of Wakanda (true leader of the people) in the solo movie. In an interview with Complex, the studio executive Moore expressed the willingness to skip the traditional origin story. He said:
“What’s great is that people have already met Chadwick Boseman in Civil War, so now we get to jump in feet first without having to tell a more traditional origin story. We meet him as his world is changing. Black Panther takes place right after the events of Civil War, so T’Challa’s father has just been killed, he has returned home to Wakanda, and T’Challa has to navigate potentially becoming the new ruler of this nation. He never intended to become the king for years because he figured his dad would be around for a long time. T’Chaka’s death is, in a lot of ways, the catalyst for everything that’s happening in Black Panther.”
The plot will focus on how Black Panther deals with the aftermath of Civil War and his ascendancy to the throne. This is what he said to EW:
"In this movie, a lot like politics, it's a little tricky to define who's a good guy. The film very much plays with those concepts, looking at conflicts and different motivations, and who's with who. What makes him different from other superheroes first and foremost is he doesn't see himself as a superhero. He sees himself as a politician. That's the first thing on his mind when he wakes up in the morning: 'How am I going to fulfill my duties as king of this place?'"
In the Black Panther trailer, it was confirmed that it will be Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordon) and Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) will join forces with Killmonger to challenge the throne of T’Challa. Chadwick Boseman said that T’Challa and Killmonger are polar opposites.
He believes he has a rightful claim to don the Black Panther’s mantle, which is snatched away from him. He will attempt to trigger a war between UN and Wakanda. The new photos have the fight between the two at Warrior Falls, members of Dora Milaje (all-female royal guard) against Killmonger. It’s revealed that Bucky Barnes a.k.a Winter Soldier will be revived from ice and have a supporting role.
It seems that Marvel fans are in for an insane ride at Wakanda. The movie will be released on February 16, 2018.
