Well, many people are asking whether the Aquaman movie hinted towards a Superman villain in the New Gods movie or not and the reason why this question cropped up is that we saw something in the Aquaman movie which leads to such speculations and if this is true then it’s going to be huge, especially for the DC fans.
The people who have seen the movie Aquaman would have seen a conspiracy theorist discussing his beliefs and assumptions on the matter of Atlantis during a cable program in the movie but got dismissed by the commentators around him.
Well, the reason the character was in the movie and is getting all the headlines now is that there are strong chances that we are going to have this man in the sequel of Aquaman movie because he’s not a very normal character and was the only human who knew Atlantis is real.

Well, we all know that there were a lot of Easter eggs in the movie and most of them signal towards the project of New Gods movie which is under the guidance of Ava DuVernay. The scientist in the movie Aquaman is none other than Dr. Stephen Shin.
As we saw in the post-credits scene of the movie that he is going to be the one who’ll help Black Manta in order to get the better of Aquaman by using the technology of Atlantis in the sequel of the movie. Well, the fans of comics will certainly smile as they already know a lot of things.
In DC comics, we have seen the character of Stephen Shin in the role of an ally to Arthur Curry and Mera, as he was a close friend of Arthur’s father Tom Curry. Shin knew a lot of things about the world of Atlantis and it was Mera who started doubting him after the death of Tom.
Later in the comics, we see that Shin is the one who helped Black Manta in becoming a really bad guy and also he is the one who pushed the limits of normality in Black Manta and converted him into this evil being because of which he is regarded as the biggest enemy of Aquaman.
Also, it was Shin only who helped Black Manta in order to have his hands on the Scepter of Dead King’s. Another interesting thing here is the GBS Network is the platform where that interview was going on and in the comics that Galaxy Broadcasting System is owned by Morgan Edge.
So, the people who don’t know this name should listen, that he is a very famous enemy of Superman. Also, we have seen him in the Supergirl as Adrian Pasdar is the one who played the character of Edge, who is the son of Vincent Edge. He is a really corrupt media man and also the one responsible for the death of Morgan’s mother.
The hatred of his father is the reason why Edge and the hordes of Apokolips had a lasting relationship because he shouted towards the heavens and the answer came from the heavens in the form of Darkseid’s vision. The journey of Darkseid and Edge started and has been there before pre and post-crisis on Infinite Earths versions of this character.
But, there are chances that the Supergirl version of this character can be followed in the movies and also the Television version of Edge is going to be the one we will see in the sequel of Aquaman movie maybe.
There are also chances that filmmakers will go towards another direction as one of the interviewing heads in the movie was portrayed by Davika Parikh who has been credited as Newcaster Morgan in the credits roll of the movie and seeing that Morgan is a unisex name, there are chances that we will get to see a gender-swapped version of Morgan Edge here.
Also, one of the employees of GBS is Glorious Godfrey who will on one point reveal himself as an evil god who’ll come on television in order to convince people that Superheroes are bad for us and turning the public opinion about Darkseid.
Also, like all these ways there are also chances that we will have our eyes on the famous villain Skartaris in the upcoming movies of Aquaman as he continues to travel to the center of the Earth. So, this is the reason why that cable news scene is getting discussed this much nowadays.
For now, there aren’t any concrete news about the New Gods movie and all we can is just pray that we will see that project soon. But, if there is someone out there who hasn’t watched the movie Aquaman yet. Then, either you should stop watching movies or stop living.
