Ant-Man And The Wasp: New Images Reveal More About The Mysterious Quantum Realm

With Infinity War over, Marvel’s next big project is Ant-Man and the Wasp, the sequel to Ant-Man of 2015. The promotions and the marketing campaign are in full swing. Just like Infinity War, the pre-release promotional tours have begun and the internet is being swarmed with a flurry of new posts regarding the latest developments in Ant-Man and the Wasp movie. One such development is the brainchild of Marvel Studios’ legendary marketing team.

The Ant-Man and the Wasp marketing team have released 15 new photos that show us. Amongst other things, new and exciting facts about the mysterious Quantum Realm, the supposed source of all of Ant-Man, the Wasp and Ghost’s powers. Presenting Ant-Man and the Wasp – New images help explore the mysterious Quantum Realm!!!

The movie is set before the universe altering events of Avengers: Infinity War (which Ant-Man, mysteriously, was not a part of). The movie is actually set in a premise that tells the story of what happened to Scott Lang and co after the events of Captain America: Civil War. Scott sided with Team Cap in the movie and thus went against the government. He and his friends would later be branded as traitors and hunted down by the government forces when they see a new threat raising its head above the horizon.

The impending danger of the villain known as Ghost would later force Land, Van Dyne and Pym to come out of their shells to try and find a way to enter the Quantum realm. Why… you ask? To search for Janet Van Dyne, Hope’s mother and the original Wasp, who was lost to the Quantum Realm in an earlier adventure?  Apparently, she holds the key to stopping the threat that Ghost supposedly poses.

It all ties down to the Quantum realm.

These are the set photos recently released online by Marvel Studios:

The Quantum Realm holds the answer to bringing back not just Janet Van Dyne but the entire casualty list of Avengers: Infinity War from the dead. It will be used as a plot device in Avengers 4, which is to be the continuation of Infinity War. Avengers 4 will see the surviving Avengers travel back in time using the Quantum Realm as a gateway. If rumors are to be trusted, the Quantum Realm is the nexus where space and time converge to produce an anomaly in the fabric of reality.

And that is what the Avenger aims to exploit to travel back in time and undo the actions of Thanos. The Quantum Realm is also supposedly the dimension where Captain Marvel is being trapped (or hiding in). That would explain why she had still not made an appearance in any of the Avengers movies until now. The Quantum Realm could be the key, people. And Ant-Man and the Wasp will finally give us some answers. Go Scott Land and Hope Van Dyne!!!

Scott Lang first assumed the role of Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Ant Man (2015). The official film synopsis reads:

Forced out of his own company by former protégé Darren Cross, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) recruits the talents of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), a master thief just released from prison. Lang becomes Ant-Man, trained by Pym and armed with a suit that allows him to shrink in size, possess superhuman strength and control an army of ants. The miniature hero must use his new skills to prevent Cross, also known as Yellowjacket, from perfecting the same technology and using it as a weapon for evil.

Ant-Man would appear next in Ant-Man and the Wasp to be released on July 5, 208. The official film synopsis for the Ant-Man sequel reads:

Scott Lang is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym, Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp. The urgent mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past as the dynamic duo finds itself in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy.
