In season 4, we saw Ghost Rider in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, the famous actor Gabriel Luna was cast to play the role. He is the most recent incarnation of Ghost Rider i.e Robbie Reyes instead of Johnny Blaze. He drives a car on fire and dispenses vigilante justice to criminals. He has the power to teleport himself into the car.
The name “Ghost Rider” is inspired by a song titled “(Ghost) Riders in the Sky”, a cowboy-style song written in 1948. In the story ‘Trials and Tribulations’, it was revealed that the spirit of vengeance has been around since the Biblical times, hence there have been many ghost-riders across time. The current Ghost-rider is Robbie Reyes who was turned by Johnny Blaze.

The fans were made to believe that the show-makers have dumped the character. The executive producer clarified to TVLine “He is a lot for 22 episodes, especially with everything else that we like and care about on the show. It would feel like one flavor over a long period of time, but we’ve certainly left it open to revisit.” Well, in the last episode, he came back from extra-dimensional hell to aid S.H.I.E.L.D to put an end to AIDA & her forces. Moreover, AIDA herself is made up of energy from the “Darkhold”. Fans are speculating that this will open new worlds and dimensions and all that’s going on is part of the centuries-old war. There is a real possibility of a possible spin-off series based on Ghost-rider after season 5 is over.
