Who are the Friends of Wolverine? The Answer Will Shock You

Wolverine is known to be a loner, but he has met some people that have been worthy of his trust. Here are the 5 friendships he has that will surprise you:

Nightcrawler

The longest and most unexpected friendship that Wolverine had with a superhero was Kurt Wagner aka Nightcrawler. The two joined X-Men together during the second generation. Wolverine was not the most friendly to Nightcrawler when they first met, even giving him the nickname Misfit. But as he got to know the guy, he found out that they were two sides of the same coin. Nightcrawler was one of the few X-Men members who enjoyed training with Logan and the only one who could genuinely make him laugh. Logan even changed his nickname to Elf. When Kurt died, Logan could not cope with the loss, which showed how much he truly cared for his friend.

Captain America

Captain America and Wolverine first met during World War II, so as acquaintances the duo have known each other for half a century. Their friendship, however, started when they met again during the modern era. Both shared the adventure with their team up with The Avengers and The X-Men and got close when Logan joined the New Avengers. Logan softened up when his memory was restored after House Of M and there seems to be no stopping this friendship.

Spider-Man

Spider-Man and Wolverine had a testy beginning. Both tolerated each other when they had to team up. When Captain America asked the webbed slinger to join the New Avengers, guess who else he asked? Wolverine. The duo quarreled violently like Logan stabbing Spider-Man and the hero pushing Logan off a forty story building. Their friendship finally came to play after Captain America’s death in Civil War. After that incident, Wolverine became one of the trusted few who knew whom Peter Parker was.

Deadpool

As you may know, Deadpool is a bit of a psychotic character and Wolverine was generally irritated by the Merc with A Mouth. But he could not really hate Wade since it was with his DNA that Deadpool was transformed. Logan often looked at Wade as a “That could have been me but it’s not and thanks God for that” kind of friend. He invited Wade to super team X-Force, and Wade showed his gratitude by inviting Logan to his bachelor party. When wolverine died, it was Wade [and Captain America] who stopped a Wolverine clone from being made, because they thought it was disrespectful.

Captain Marvel

Live Steve Rogers, Carol Danvers and Wolverine have known each other for a long time. They met when Wolverine was still an agent of the CIA. They teamed up on various occasions when Logan joined the X-Men. When Carol’s drinking became too much of a problem and The Avengers dumped her, it was Logan who took her in and helped her get back on her feet. They may have their differences now and again but they have never betrayed each other since.
