5 Spectacular Wolverine Performances

Wolverine has become the constant in the X-men franchise. He is also the only character to be in every X-Men movie to date (including his solo films). Here are the best five Wolverine performances in movies to date:

The Wolverine:

The Wolverine showcased a side of Wolverine’s past history that had yet to be shown in films. The movie took place in Japan, a place where Logan had a very painful connection to in the comics. The character, however, wrestled with his love of Jean Grey and his hatred for his own immorality amidst some action packed fights.

X-Men: Days Of Future’s Past:

In Days Of Future’s Past, Wolverine played the crucial role of being the bridge between the past and the present. Wolverine has always been the most pivotal character in the X-Men franchise, so his return was more than welcome by fans. The film also brings a bit of closure to the old rivalry between Logan and Stryker. It also reunites him with Jean Grey, a character that Wolverine has mourned for a few films.

X-Men 2:

The second X-Men film finally gave fans the Wolverine that they had loved from the comics. He showcased his strength and fighting capability throughout the film. He also showed a caring side to him with characters like Rogue and Jean Grey. His rivalry with Stryker is one of the most compelling conflicts to date in X-Men movies.

X-Men:

The very first X-Men film gave the audience a very different Logan to what they are used to. Logan was never one to give the greatest first impressions even in the comics, so this may be on par with the character. Jackman played the role of an asshole with aplomb but has since held back a bit as fans just could not adjust to Logan as an asshole.

Logan:

Although the movie is technically not released yet, what we have seen so far from the trailers alone may be proof enough to garner a mention in the top five best performance. Logan delves into the character and his internalization of his demons in the new film. Since it will be Hugh Jackman’s last film as Wolverine, he seems to have saved the best for last.
