2017 sees a whole line up of very exciting movies, especially in the superhero genre. Here are the 5 most anticipated superhero movies:
Justice League
DCEU has been a controversial topic in the superhero world due to the fact that their movies simply do not match up to the quality of the comics. That being said, Justice League is still the most anticipated release for 2017 because it sees a team-up that fans have been waiting to see since Batman and Superman movies have been made in the last century. Zack Snyder has already promised a very different movie from his first two, a promise we hope will translate to Batman and crew because they deserve it!
Logan
The last Wolverine movie with Hugh Jackman has marketed itself to be a film beyond its genre. The R-rating has guaranteed fans a feast for bloody fights and a whole lot of cursing, just as the real Wolverine from the comic books would have it. The introduction of X-23 has also hyped fans up to hope that the Wolverine lore does not end with Jackman but continues with the X-Men franchise.
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Marvel cinematic Universe finally did something everyone thought was impossible. They got back their most popular Marvel hero under their banner and every Spider-Man fan rejoiced under the sun. The character finally had a chance to be executed the way fans dreamt him to be a young Spider-Man who not only will connect with other Marvel heroes like Tony Stark aka Iron Man, but a storyline told close to its source material with not too many changes.
Thor: Ragnarok
The third Thor film has been hyped by Marvel to be a cut above the rest. The Asgardian God will team up with another Marvel favorite The Hulk in an intergalactic road trip that sees them battle like gladiators, rescue Odin and maybe save Asgard from Loki. Oh, and its supposedly going to be very funny.
Wonder Woman
DCEU leads the torch for female superheroes with its first female-led film Wonder Woman. The heroine has seen popularity in both comics and TV but has yet to truly conquer the silver screen. Wonder Woman will be the movie that sees the rise of a superhero who has lived through decades of human warfare. The coming of age movie will finally showcase how Wonder Woman got her start and may also answer a few questions for the Justice League movie.
