Justice League, the fifth movie from DCEU is a much-anticipated movie, but not much has been said officially about this upcoming film. Here are five facts we know so far from the movie:
1) Motherboxes Are The MacGuffins:
MacGuffins is the object (or objects) the heroes and/or villains must collect in order to save the day or destroy the world. MaGuffins have played a pivotal role in every superhero movie that has been released these days. Marvel has its Infinity Stones disguised as various other objects that will be pivotal for Avengers: Infinity War. Justice League has its own MacGuffin in the form of the Motherboxes. The Motherboxes are cubes that act like “live computers” that came from Steppenwolf’s home planet Apokolips. In the DCEU, three boxes have been left on earth to the Atlanteans and Amazonians. One box was present in Batman Vs Superman with two more being shown in the deleted scene of BvS.
2) Superman Will Return From The Dead:
This one is an open secret, given that the Superman is front and centre in all the Justice Leage official pictures. The last time we saw Superman, he had sacrificed himself for the betterment of the innocent people and ended the film with a funeral for the superhero. The last shot teased of his resurrection, so the man of steel is guaranteed for a comeback.
3) Steppenwolf Is The Main Villain:
Although there were speculations of Darkseid being the main villain, his general Steppenwolf was announced to take on the honors of being the Justice League’s antagonist. The villain will be played Ciaran Hinds of Game Of Thrones fame. Motion –capture technology will be used to create the alien for the film. Steppenwolf made his DCEU debut in BvS in a deleted scene with Lex Luthor.
4) Lex Luthor And Deathstroke Will Play a Major Part in Justice League:
After Zack Snyder posted a picture on his Twitter of him with a storyboard scene at hand, fans were able to put two and two together and find out that Lex Luthor and Deathstroke will be involved. Luthor has been speculated to be the individual that hires the merc to tail the Justice League team.
5) The First Trailer Was A First GlimpseTo a New DCEU:
Unlike the previous DCEU films by Zack Snyder, the premiere of the Justice League trailer showcased a fresher vision that had been seen before. A welcome change that has gotten fans hoping that Snyder takes in the criticism he’s received to not take itself too seriously.
