DC: 5 Movies We Would Love To See In Near Future

DCEU has a whole bunch of movies that are up for release in the next few years which include Aquaman, Shazam, Cyborg, and Green Lantern Corps. DC may have a long way to go in terms of Marvel’s track record of 13 film releases, but its upcoming films will hopefully evolve into a better quality film aimed to please their audience. We have listed 5 movies that we would like to see in the very near future:

The Batman:

The Batman will be written and directed by Oscar winner and current DCEU Batman Ben Affleck. The movie has been set to start filming in the summer of 2017 and may see a release in the next year after production, as most DC movies have done in the past. Rumors have risen that the movie will see an influence from Batman: Year One with mercenary killer Deathstroke as its main villain.

Man Of Steel 2:

This year saw the rise of a Man Of Steel 2 rumour after Henry Cavill confirmed that the film was happening. Amy Adams who plays Lois Lane also confirmed that a script was being written for the sequel, so the movie is destined to happen. Man Of Steel had left Superman being a threat to humanity, Batman V Superman, continuing to concentrate on that. With justice League already being finished, the sequel to Man Of Steel might have a story that finds basis from the actions of Justice League.

Dark Universe:

Based on the comic book series Justice League Dark, the upcoming DCEU movie will be directed by Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman. The movie will center around  Constantine, Swamp Thing, Zatanna, Deadman, and the Spectre dealing with supernatural threats. There have also been rumors of an animated film being released right after the live-action movie’s release.

Birds Of Prey:

After the success of Suicide Squad, Margot Robbie got herself a deal with Warner Bros. for a Harley Quinn solo movie. The all-female team Birds Of Prey have also been rumored to be a big part of the upcoming movie. Harley Quinn has a long history with the team, so it would be quite intriguing to see the live-action Birds Of Prey interact with Harley on celluloid.

Lobo:

After the massive success of Deadpool, DCEU commissioned for a full-length movie featuring bounty hunter and interstellar mercenary Lobo. The character debuted in DC comics in 1983 as a villain and has since evolved to a more fleshed out character. Jason Fuchs has been reported to be hired to write the script. No further information has been released yet.
