5 Famous Movie Timelines That Make No Sense

Some movies are not ambiguous but you can easily understand them with their comprehensible chronology. However, some of them are very difficult to understand. Here are 5 famous Movies whose Timelines make no sense.

1) The Fast and Furious Franchise

The Fast and Furious Franchise began as a fun action movie with likable characters and some good scenes from car racing. It has become one of the most popular franchises around the world. Until the fourth film, everything was quite simple, However, Vin Diesel’s Dom shows up in the third film to tell Sean that Han used to hang out with his crew. This is new to viewers as Han did not appear in the first film.

2) Hot Tub Time Machine 2

Hot Tub Time Machine 2 has plenty of flaws with its time travel logic. In the movie, four guys accidentally went back in time to a weekend ski trip in 1986. While three of them look quite younger self to everyone else, Jacob walks around looking like his current self because he was not alive yet.

3) The Butterfly Effect

The Butterfly Effect doesn’t seem to understand its own chronology. One particularly confusing moment is when Evan finds himself in prison and attempts to prove his cellmate that he is able to have a direct conversation with the God. The problem is that after Evan goes back in time to hurt himself, the timeline would have shifted because of those actions.

4) The Purge

The movie takes you nine years into the future. In those nine years, America has enacted a yearly purge that allows law abiding citizens to commit any crime without the consequences. The timeline does not make sense for the Purge in relation to how quickly everything changed in nine years.

5) Planet of the Apes

In the original Planet of the Apes, there was a twist in the ending, but the remake didn’t make use of the twist at the ending but rather had one that just didn’t make any sense.
