The fifth installment of the Transformers movie series is titled as Transformers: The Last Knight and Michael Bay will direct the film. The fourth installment (Transformers: Age of Extinction) was released in the year 2014. Despite getting negative reviews from the critics, the film was a huge box-office success. We have seen Optimus Prime flying into the outer space for the creators and assigns Autobots to protect the Yeagers in the fourth part. In Transformers: The Last Knight, Optimus Prime finds his home planet Cybertron. Unfortunately, it is a dead planet now and it all happened because of him. He wants to bring his planet back to life and at last, he discovers a way to do it. To restore the planet back to life, he should find an artifact. But from where would he get the artifact? As you guys guessed, it’s on earth. What is that artifact? That’s what you guys are thinking right? Well, we have some hints and speculations about it from the new title itself; Transformers: THE LAST KNIGHT.
According to Joblo, the artifact is with Merlin who is the magician of King Arthur. It will be revealed in the film that Merlin was gifted with his magical powers by a transformer. Joblo seriously doubts that the artifact that Optimus Prime is looking for is none other than the Excalibur, the legendary sword!
Mark Wahlberg will reprise his role in the movie. We have confirmed news regarding the return of transformers like Bumblebee, Hound, Crosshairs, drift and of course the legendary Optimus Prime. We also have news regarding the return of the Dinobots. As assigned by Optimus Primer, the Autobots are settled on Earth by creating a base for their operations. Megatron will be again seen as the main villain and this news was confirmed by the makers of the film.
There are rumors regarding the addition of three new transformers and Anthony Hopkins is expected to play the role one of those transformers. And the newly added three transformers are namely ‘The Creator’, ‘Cogman’, and ‘Squeaks’. The movie is scheduled for a release on June 23, 2017.
