Hugh Jackman’s Character Inspired By “Old man Logan” Story in Wolverine 3

The Australian actor Hugh Jackman seems very excited and emotional at the same time about playing Logan/Wolverine in the final standalone movie of the franchise to be directed by James Mangold. He has given over a decade of his life to this character and has played it like a boss. He has been revered by both critics and fans for his masterful performances in successive X-Men and independent Wolverine movies. He has been talking about the film for a long time, asking fans to contribute and tell him what they would like to see in his swan song as Wolverine.

It’s almost unimaginable to even think of any other actor besides Hugh Jackman to bring this character to life on screen. It’s almost confirmed that his character is inspired by “Old Man Logan” story which is based in dystopian future where villains finally prevailed after Wolverine was caught in a trap laid down by Mysterio. Another news which came out was that the actor Boyd Holbrook (Narcos fame) will be playing big villain in the movie. His character has been described as “a relentless, calculating and intense head of Security for a global enterprise who is set against Jackman’s clawed Wolverine/Logan hero”. Earlier it was speculated that Sabretooth may be making an appearance as an enemy of the Wolverine. He is a mutant possessing super human ability including rapid healing, sharp fangs, and claws, superhuman senses etc. Both Sabretooth and Wolverine were victims of super-soldier program “Weapon X”, but Sabretooth saw Wolverine as a competitor. On one hand, Wolverine attempts to control savage superhuman mutant qualities, on the other hand, Sabretooth embraces it.

The final wolverine movie is tentatively going to hit theaters on March 3, 2017.
