Arrow Season 4: Who is Dying in the Next Episode?

The promos of the latest episode of Arrow Season 4 “Eleven-Fifty Nine” suggest the end of something. Now, we all Arrow fans know what that means. We knew this was coming. Now the question at hand is who is it that is dying?

After 17 episodes of Damien Darhk rising to power and then falling to nothingness has brought down the equation to only two people. Yes, 99% only these two members of Team Arrow could possibly die. This isn’t Game of Thrones, so do not expect a “Ned Stark” type shocker. But if the showrunners want to show some audacity can they kill of Thea Queen? What would be more shocking then taking Oliver’s sister? But taking into account all the evidence we have from previous episodes this is highly unlikely. Here are a few instances which suggest either it is Captain Lance or John Diggle dying in Arrow Season 4:

EVIDENCE 1: BARRY AT THE FUNERAL

Barry at the Funeral

Now Barry Allen is acquainted with both Captain Lance and Diggle. Recently in an episode of The Flash, Barry helped Diggle catch King Shark and whenever Barry has visited Star City he has been helped by Captain Lance. Remember Season 2 Episode 14? Barry was first introduced as a Crime Scene Unit Investigator to SCPD. So, Barry being at the funeral suggests, either of the two could be in the grave.

EVIDENCE 2: FELICITY IN THE LIMO

Felicity after the Funeral

As fans, we were not hoping that Felicity would leave Team Arrow, but she did. Now, Felicity is very close to Diggle and his imminent death might be what brings Felicity back to Team Arrow. Also, Lance is involved with Felicity’s mother. So Lance’s death could break down Felicity. This evidence leads us to believe that it is more likely Diggle than Lance.

EVIDENCE 3: ANDY DIGGLE

Andy Diggle: Good or Bad?

Now, now! The last episode revealed Andy still being in the “Dar-h-k of Damien”. He could be the possible reason for his elder brother John’s death and Felicity might ask Oliver to put Andy down. Could Andy Diggle kill his own brother? Or could he kill Lance, whose testimony is what sent Darhk to prison in the first place? This evidence again points in the direction of John Diggle being killed off.

EVIDENCE 4: SHOW-RUNNERS PLAY IT SAFE

Captain Lance

Now, if the show-runners want to play it safe, they might go with Lance instead of Diggle. The character arc of Lance cannot be extended more whereas Diggle is an integral part of the team. Captain Lance had a lot to offer this season; from being a patsy to Darhk and then to turn the tables to get him arrested, Lance has definitely been an important character this season. So, this evidence suggests Lance might die.

Now it is 2-2 between Lance and Diggle. It is highly unlikely the show could kill off Thea or Laurel. If Arrow, does something crazy with one of its characters, that might be worth watching, leading into Season 5.
