Though Ashwin seem to be a very serious and concerned modern player who is working very hard every day in the nets in search of better variations in his bowling and improving game by game. However, his serious approach towards the game and our perception towards him changed when he told us about his `Not so serious approach’ and the fact that he doesn’t think too much about cricket the whole day. A bus ticket collector

India’s leading spinner was once fond of collecting bus tickets. He had collected many of those till his mother found out and threw all of them. Not only this, he used to collect many coins and stamps as well.

Superstitions

Ashwin, who seems to be a very modern cricketer confessed about the fact that he performs a ritual in his own way before every match he plays. This sounded a little weird but a south indian boy is generally seen performing all his rituals and ceremonies in their own family manner as we saw in his marriage being performed in typical south indian way.

He is not always thinking too much about the game as people think. `Its a lot more to think about in a day except cricket he said. He told that he constantly keep thinking about new entrepreneur ideas and enjoys his PPTs and excel sheets.

After his schooling, Ashwin went to SSN College of Engineering and graduated with a BTech in Information Technology & worked for Cognizant Technology Solutions.
