Since a long time The New Day is ruling the tag team segment. Apparently there is no proper tag team except a few. New Day is also one of the most entertaining trio of the show. But is it doing any good for the segment? Week after week a team is plotted in the ring with the new day only to start a feud among them. Recently it is Y2AJ who faced the same. Here are four reasons why the tag team segment needs to get over NEW DAY.
Once upon a time the tag team championship was considered as one of the most vital title of the company. The greatest of the industry has won the championship. In fact four wrestlers fighting in the same ring is always entertaining than any other fights. Now WWE is out of heavyweight tag teams and the reason for it is they never change the day. Watching the same story every week is boring like hell. We all know that ‘New Day’ will win due to an extra man advantage and introduce the same comic elements again and again. The story needs to be changed. WWE universe deserves a better story in return of their much valued time.
Tag teams like The Usos, Wyatts and more recently Y2AJ should be used properly. It is far more entertaining and classic to watch these three teams fight for the tag team championship. Y2AJ looked formed a cool team and had all the elements to improve the tag team segment, but wwe has only one day in their calendar. Just imagine a ladder match or a table’s match among these teams for the coveted championship. Entertainment to its core. It is high time wwe should change the day and move on. Or else there will be a day when the tag team segment will end up to a comedy show.
Now that Sheamus is out of the championship league, the league of nation has only one job. Honestly the team is wasted every week. All the four members of the team have great potential and have already proved it. The team is also very close to the authority. If not any other team then at least wwe should replace New Day with The League of Nation. Make the four of them win and then create a feud among the four regarding which two is the real tag team champions. That will have a new story each day than the new day, perhaps a better and entertaining one.
