5 Concepts of People That Are Wrong!

[tps_header]As humans we always build certain opinions about every concept. However, these opinions are sometimes validated my strong misconceptions. Here are five concepts that are highly misinterpreted.[/tps_header]

[tps_title]1) INTELLIGENCE[/tps_title]

Psychology defines intelligence as the global capacity of an individual to think rationally, act purposefully and deal effectively with his/her environment. Howard Gardener’s theory of multiple intelligence elucidates how intelligence is a broad concept, not merely limited to a single factor.

However, people constantly relate intelligence to one’s academics competence. “Grades” are used as a yardstick to measure the level of intelligence of an individual, which is quite obnoxious, as it makes us turn a blind eye to the other novel aspects of an individual.

A person with a good sense of rhythm is also intelligent. So is the person with the acumen to excel in sports.

[tps_title]2) LOVE[/tps_title]

source

Love is an unconditional bond that binds two souls together. It is embedded in a mother’s lorry that lures her child to sleep. It gets reflected in those constant meaningless tussles among siblings. However, presently love is highly misinterpreted and is confined to materialistic pleasure. Infatuation is wrongly named “love.” It is fenced by the shackles of expectations.

[tps_title]3) BEAUTY[/tps_title]

source

The concept of “beauty” is highly misunderstood! They say beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. However, our eyes chose to be lured by the outer beauty and refuse to adorn the beauty within. It is not about the voluptuous curves that make the heads turn. It is about the heavenly soul that heals a weary heart.

We often judge the book by its cover and forget to embrace the individuality and significance of every single being. Even, ugly is beautiful! The dead and dreary leaves amplify the beauty of a garden. So, lets drool over a generous soul rather than a pretty face.

[tps_title]4) DRESSING SENSE[/tps_title]

source

It is pathetic that even in the 21st century; people continue to judge others by the clothes they wear. The character of a person is often misjudged by merely taking into account the kind of clothes he/she puts on.

We forget that in a free country as ours every individual possess the right to practice his/her personal choice. One’s choice becomes other’s privilege to defame and question one’s character.

[tps_title]5) PSYCHOLOGICAL DISORDER[/tps_title]

source

This is another concept which is highly mistaken! A person with a psychological disorder is often labeled as “mad.” He/she is often considered to be abnormal. He/she is socially boycotted and left out! Deprived of affection and care, a feeling of alienation worsens his/her plight.

Thus, people should realize that a “psychological disorder” is like any other disease that calls for the same concern, love and care to heal the person.
